Thanks WHUFC! You are my eyes and ears up there for both footy and cricket! I see BMW got pummelled by Crystal Brook yesterday. Re: Northern Areas gossip
Nah Crystal Brook are going to destroy everyone and have one of the better country sides getting around. Will Combe from North Adelaide coming back to coach and play whilst bringing some mates with him has them flying.wedgetail wrote:Thanks WHUFC! Re: Northern Areas gossip
Crystal Brook didn't quite get to the GF after a promising start. Will Combe did win the medal today from joint runners-up in Aiden Lee (Orroroo) and last year's winner in Kallis Freer (Broughton)
GF next weekend is BMW vs Orroroo

Re: Northern Areas gossip
Port Broughton with the flag in 2024.
Crystal Brook to pick up Campbell Combe alongside brother Will. They would start as flag favorites.
Orroroo to be strong again with leading goal kicker Isaac Moller staying on for another year and Xavier Redden to be available every week.
Sam McInerney to play for Jamestown, will bring one to two with him so they might see some small improvements.
Will Brand go around again with Southern Flinders??

Re: Northern Areas gossip
Just a bit of an update.
Port Broughton have Nick Hewit back coaching and has brought a ton of blokes with him. Going to be extremely strong.
Crystal Brook flying with 35-40 training and 60 registered footballers on the back of Campbell Combes return. Will be very strong, lock them in for the b grade.
Orroroo looking good again with the same crew plus a couple more.
BMW may head a tad backward, lost a couple of decent players.
Jamestown in a world of troubles regarding quality. Plenty of numbers but no talent and struggling to recruit.
Southern Flinders to be bottom two again.

Re: Northern Areas gossip
Been a few trials now:
Southern flinders lost too both Clare teams by around the same margin. Will probably struggle again this year.
Jamestown lose to Burra does not look great for them.
Broughton loss to BSR but hard to judge with BSR having won a bunch of flags.
Brook wins against CMS crows and Hummocks.

Re: Northern Areas gossip
Top 4 will be Crystal Brook, Broughton, Orroroo and BMW.
Will just come down to whoever peaks at the right time regardless of where in the top 4 they finish.

Re: Northern Areas gossip
All three games this week should be good contests, Jamestown and Southern Flinders, Orroroo and BMW, Crystal Brook and Port Broughton.
Wouldn’t be confident picking any of these games I don’t think, could all possibly go either way.
