Murph’s missus wins again for me.
Gotta be 4 or 5 in a row surely.

Did anyone spot any crazy sets of votes the other night.

I seen WCE supporters sooking over Hurn in round 9, 33 disposals, 13 marks with 161 SC points but didn't get a vote.

Yeo laid 16 tackles with 26 disposals, Sheed had similar numbers to Hurn and Gawn dominated the ruck.

I did notice a few games where there was only a couple of point in the margin and the winning team got a clean sweep, I wonder how the umps work it out, do they do a slip each and then add the votes or do they go over them collectively, does the 4th umpire have a say?

One bet I had was Coniglio, Merrett, Cunnington and Boak to all poll 16 or more .. All made except Merrett who finished on 15

Thankfully had Fyfe in my stable so didn't end up too bad.

Some dicey votes all through. Certainly the 'names' seem to get a vote where not obviously deserved.

Watch Lachie Neale romp it in next year if he has even a half reasonable season.

Yeah, didn’t think Fyfe was in the best 4 or 5 against the Crows but got the 3 votes. It does seem that the “name” players get a few extra bonus votes.
Might just be that we don’t have any standout players but I do seem to notice is that when Essendon lose in a close one we get maybe 1 vote or the winning team get a clean sweep yet when we win comfortably we still rarely get all the votes

Neale needs to tackle as well as get disposals, I felt that he was short changed but looking at the stats per game he didn't seem to do enough all round in the same games.

Fyfe tackles as well as get the ball and has precision with his disposal, he also goes forward and kicks goals.

Without checking stats (so just be what you watch) I thought Fyfe's season was nowhere near as good as the other year he won the medal. Seems a good bloke though and is obviously a great player (plus he's not Dangerfield) so happy for him to win it.
