Were they the last set of trials? surely wont be too many games on the upcoming easter weekend?
Ingle Farm played Central United. I've received mixed feedback - some have told me Farmers got pasted, others have said poor kicking cost Farmers a win and one said it was competitive so dont know who to believe!
Probably depends what part of the crowd they were sitting with. Some looked to be having a very good day, don't know how much of the footy they were watching though.......Was a good hitout for both teams. Think CU won by 5 or 6 goals. IF played average in the first half and picked it up in the second after the coach had a quiet word with them. Good signs for both sides going in to round 1. Thanks to Dutchy and all the CU club for hosting the game and best of luck for the season..
Thought you may have been there PG to have a look at a few of the C graders running around in the B's yesterday, then you wouldn't have mixed feedback
Thanks to Dutchy and all the CU Lads for a good hit out yesterday. Great to have two quality trials for the lads and gives us the opportunity to take a look at people in different positions. Our first half was pretty poor, but with 6 blokes having their first run for the year, you could tell they needed the run. In the end CU got up by 22 points im lead to believe and do look the goods, for the season proper. Thanks again Dutch, and all the best for 2013 !!
“When you win, say nothing. When you lose, say less.”
Good to have a hit out & played in good spirits, so thanks CU. Definitely picked some things out for the team to work on, but it's early & there's still some players learning each other's games. Things I learnt: - Mofflin is certainly a different style of oval to many, that wide wing took some getting used to & CU played it very well especially on a turnover. - Whilst trial games are good, I'm glad to be done with them as nothing beats the feeling of playing for points. - The Milky Bar Kid can not pull off the Chris Judd taped head look.

Ha I don't think so! No one was really scoring from our end but there wasn't a huge amount of goals kicked for the day. They had a forward that had a good day but would have only kicked 5 goals from what I saw! Wasn't paying heaps of attention to who kicked them but would be very surprised if anyone kicked 10! Also we had a fair bit missing from our back half which would have helped him! Over all AV looked like a good side in patches moved the ball fairly well. Played them the last 2 years and would say they were a weaker side this year compared to last.. Was interesting to see they had a ruck that only rucked for about 10mins, from talking to one of their blokes he said this guys not a ruck, would be interested to see how they go if this opinion changed as he was s**t loafs better than their first 2 rucks and completely changed their midfield! They kicked 3 unanswered goals in 5 mins thanks to his work!

How did the 400 year old umpire go that was puffing on his durry as he made his way to the boundary line just before the game. The poor bugger had to do the first 10 minutes alone.
Medium sized player. Came out and trained with us during last season with a couple of his mates who were playing for us. Looked real good on the track and has decent wraps on him from gumeracha from what I was told.
