When I do drink beer it tends to be Hahn Super Dry at pubs, and Asahi Soukai as a light beer at home.
Sometimes I try a novel one that is on tap and reasonably priced at pubs or restaurants.

Mentioned it briefly in the footy thread but tried the Prison Bar Ale yesterday and loved it! Could drink a heap more of that! Try to avoid cans but it was a lot better than the Pirate Life Lager on tap. ( which was OK)
Very schmick cans too.

A prison bar ale!
I drank from noon till 4am so don't ask me any questions requiring thought. ;)
I think it tasted like a cross between a session ale and a little creatures pale.
I'll definately try it again and will give it a better review then.

It's magnificent.

Pale and Munich malt, kohatu and wai-iti hops.

My heart's been broken. We got 2 kegs of Prison Bar Ale delivered to us by mistake in November last year.
Just noticed this morning they're still out the back, asked the manager what we were doing with them.
"It's gone off by now, it's just being written off"

What a waste! :(
