And only half of them actually watched any cricket.
Maybe that other half was there just to see Trav get 100 I think.

Imagine being out in the middle knowing you can’t win the Ashes and you’ve got Marnus chirping in your ear.

It's a form of torture, and he doesn't need to even use four letter adjectives like times past

Out of the last 33 Tests played in Australia, only 8 have made it to the 5th day - two of these had a washed out day (hello Sydney), and at least another (Brisbane last season) had siginifcant weather delays.

How many Tests worldwide have gone the distance in the last 5 years, say?

110 tests in the last 2 years -

| Category | Number |
| ------------------------------ | ------- |
| **Total draws (2024–25)** | **9** |
| **Clearly weather-impacted** | **7–8** |
| **Partially weather-impacted** | **1–2** |
| **Pure flat-pitch draws** | **0** |

I was looking at 1/1/2020 onwards and one went into the sixth day (this was the first WTC final which had two washed out days)
76 went to the 5th day, 29 were drawn
85 to the 4th; I'm not sure how many were 4 day matches though
50 went for 3
5 for 2

Slightly surprising, I would have guessed less going into the 5th day.

Cheers.

Labuschagne's first catch today (Duckett) was his 150th in first class matches.

Brook's catch to dismiss Carey today was his 50th in tests, and his 100th in first class matches.

Seems there's a bit now, but the really big storms seem to be going around Adelaide.

We’ve missed the guts of the rain. The system split and the Adelaide Plains missed the majority.
