They all kicked off at the same time MT79
I think there must have been a late donation, from behind bars, to the Bolton Retirement Investment Banking Enterprise (B,R.I.B.E)
Ok JTC, I followed the Birmingham match on twitter at work and then I read the report after which had alluded that the other match had started earlier.
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!
I feel for you, I really do. Is every club with Malaysian owners going to turn into a basket case. The ones I know of are; Your mob Birmingham City, with the owner spending 6 years in jail and not actually visiting the club for more than 3 years despite them having to cater for him personally as if he was there. No investment from him either since 2010 although the club are still paying him and his entourage.
QPR, whilst investing this year, their interference in everything concerning the club including the bloody matchday menu, are destroying the club from the inside. Q.P.R. Is effectively his toy. This family, including kids and grand kids, have free reign at the club despite the daft that most of them can barely speak a word of English. Having said that, Redknapp is the perfect manager for them as his mercenary approach and the mercenary players he attracts are well suited to the club.
Cardiff City. Enough said really. Another Malaysian, another toy club to play with and break as I see fit. Sacked their best manager in years, and brought in a no hoper who has taken them down. Changed the colours from Blue to Red exon some western superstition that red is more successful. This is despite that fact the "bluebirds" have aged in blue for over 100 years. Without the merest consideration for the heritage or tradition of the club.
It seems to me that the league needs to sit up and smell the........ whatever it is they have in Malaysia and stop these idiots from taking over clubs. Their wealth usually comes from a dubious source, FFS they lost a plane full of people only a few weeks ago which still hasn't turned up, and had another near miss not so long after that.
Bugger me that was a long rant. Anyway MT79, like I said, you have my sympathy.
That was easily the worst game of the season and played before a dismal 14k.
Why such a low crowd!!
Several reasons mate: a) QPR don't travel well b) Wigan isn't a footballing town. It's a rugby league town c) If it wasn't for Dave Whelan of JJB fame who bankrolled them to the premiership, they would still be playing non league football. Just another example of how finance came bring disproportionate success.
And finally d) Letting AFL Reserves sides into the SANFL has affected crowds
