Re: AFL Round 19
Star Carlton ruckman Tom De Koning will miss at least the rest of the home and away season due to a collapsed lung and foot fracture in a massive blow to Michael Voss’ side.
Channel 7’s Mitch Cleary first reported the brutal setback, with De Koning currently in hospital due to his punctured lung after reporting shortness of breath following the Blues’ win over North Melbourne on Sunday night.
It’s believed the gun big man suffered a late hit from Roos ruckman Tristan Xerri in the fourth term. He chatted with club medical staff and took the next centre bounce and boundary throw in before leaving the field before the end of the game.

Re: AFL Round 19
A few 'please explains' issued by the AFL today regarding handling of Dawson, McKay and Andrews head knocks.
Crows have already said Dawsons concussion came in the last q incident head clash not the bump by Caddy so not sure what else to explain there. Maybe not going through the full HIA?
McKay is cleared of concussion so again, what else to explain? Same as Dawson?
Didnt see the Andrews one.

Re: AFL Round 19
So Carlton is guilty of mismanaging McKay, surely he then goes into concussion protocols as a matter of caution?

Re: AFL Round 19
So Carlton doctors were preoccupied treating norf thuggery victims and we get a reprimand while the crows use the same excuse and they get cleared, what a joke. So sick of the #nonvicbias

If De Koning was split up by the late "hit" from Xerri he's made of less stern stuff than your predictions are.Armchair expert wrote:So Carlton doctors were preoccupied treating norf thuggery victims and we get a reprimand while the crows use the same excuse and they get cleared, what a joke. Happened before that, North had more intent on injuring players than winning the game.Booney wrote:If De Koning was split up by the late "hit" from Xerri he's made of less stern stuff than your predictions are.Armchair expert wrote:So Carlton doctors were preoccupied treating norf thuggery victims and we get a reprimand while the crows use the same excuse and they get cleared, what a joke.
