We've never been busier, March we were about 20% over budget for the month. Having said that we beat last years budget by around 15%.

My work has basically died in the butt, very little has come in over the last 3 weeks.

I expect a very quiet time for the coming few months and then all hell will break loose again.

Thankfully had enough work on my plate (and paperwork) which will keep me busy enough until the end of May however losing alot of money with no travel time and mileage allowance as doing all work via phone/computer link ups $500-$600 jobs are getting done for around $200, so thats starting to take its toll

I think for people in construction March and April will be somewhat ok because people have committed to that expenditure. It will be on the other side of this will people/businesses looking to hold money and be trying to recover.

Unfortunately aquaculture is suffering + wool at the moment. Wool prices have taken a dive this week.

If construction isn't halted ( by a lockdown ) I think it will be one industry that doesn't get hit too hard. Anything that is already signed off on will go ahead and anything nearly finished will be.

My only concern is 12 months from now but to be honest I was already worried about that.

Are people in positions of power that dumb/greedy?
Well yes they are!

If this thing only ends once everyone has got it, there is a lot to be said for catching it now, while there are still ICU beds available should you have a bad reaction, rather than catching it in May when we are having 5000 cases a day.

The biggest thing that shits me is that we are still having international flights lob in, I thought they ordered all Aussies to return a few weeks ago as we were locking the boundaries? They are still flocking in saying "wowers me", FFS, all this crap has come in from overseas and our authorities are too stupid to act upon it.

Many could not get out in time.
There are far too many Australians OS to be catered for and some countries and airlines cut off flights without any warning which left people stranded.
There are always some that ignored advice aswell and I don’t feel sorry for them. All arriving on international flights now are subjected to the 14 days quarantine though which helps

The government can't prevent Australians from entering the country.

Is that the only solution, to deliberately infect low risk people to slow down the risk.

"Several" news cases confirmed over night directly linked to the Qantas baggage handlers, SA Health will confirm numbers later today.

Mate, we're in a pandemic, they can do whatever they like, they could've got the hotel isolation plan in place far sooner.
