Matt Wade showing of his Phil Hughes tribute tattoo after the win. Said to also be a reminder 'that there is more important things in life than cricket'.

A bit harsh to say NSW are going to win the World Cup, mate.
NSW may have a lot of players in the Australian set up but it reflects the fact that they are the most populated state in the country and the depth of NSW's team have meant that plenty of players have had to leave to get an opportunity to play Shield cricket elsewhere.
Tasmania have benefitted greatly from this with the likes of Ed Cowan, Jordan Silk, Jackson Bird all having come out of NSW.

True but at the end of the day 7 blokes from NSW were better than 1.2 billion Indians lol

Darren Berry tipped to replace the sacked Greg Shipperd as coach of Victoria.
Why?

He won't be handicapped by the SACA, so he'll have a reasonable chance of succeeding.

It annoys me when people say that NSW get favourable treatment from the selectors.
The state hasn't had a selector on the panel since Richie's brother John was on the panel a decade ago.
In our case, besides Callum Ferguson and maybe Mark Cosgrove, who have we got knocking on the door for selection?
If we start playing good cricket and are contenders for the Shield, then we'd have a case to complain but at the moment we don't really have a case.

Mark Waugh says hello but yeah i agree with your sentiments, this whole thing about NSW bias sh!ts me too.
TBH no one in SA has really deserved a national call up since teh days of Lehman and Gillespie
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Re: Sheffield Shield Season 2014/15
I had forgotten about Junior I must admit.
The whole thing about NSW bias seems to have emanated out of Victoria and was peddling by Hookesy when he was the Vics coach before he died.
Callum Ferguson is probably the only one we have who could've knocked on the door but he has the captain in his spot unless we pick him at 3.

Re: Sheffield Shield Season 2014/15
why don't they change the rules so that the new points system is in play for the final too?
that would certainly spice things up a bit and make both teams play attacking cricket - imagine the side batting first and putting on 400 in the first 100 overs
