Umpires?
Weightlifters “chalk spray” Jacks was using it in Adelaide to manage sweaty hands

The “new” inners

Perfectly legal
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

If the English batsman can’t learn to be positive with a strong front foot movement to the pitch of the ball to cover the ball that nip backs or learn where their fourth stump is well they’re playing “Cunis-ball” neither one thing or the other

Series has been a financial disaster for them.
Yep for sure

Too often Curators are simply producing PITCHES that are far too much in favour of the bowlers these days and that combined with more aggressive batting styles along with batsmen not having the defensive techniques to survive when conditions are challenging compared to decades ago are resulting in drastically shortened Test matches that would be crippling CA finances.
Pink ball Tests havent exactly helped either.in stretching the game out to 5 days.
Hate to think how short the upcoming 150th Anniversary Test in 2027 at the MCG may be given it's gonna be a Day/Night Pink Ball Test
Dont think the curator will be game enough to leave 10mm of grass on that one

England are such a rabble that even when they appear to be well on top they're only ever 2 hours away from almost certain defeat like they have already shown several times this series including today.
Bethell coming into the side and batting 3 when he has NEVER made a 1st class ton just exemplifies how far England have got their preparation for this entire series wrong.

Cue Sunny “Havaskar” and 20 wickets falling on an Australian wicket compared to when it happens in India

I thought players are specifically excluded from using anything on their hands to either alter the ball or enhance their grip. I would think that liquid chalk would/could do both but most certainly aid their grip.

Stokes was not batting so the inners reference is void I think.

Hey when you are an inexperienced ‘keeper you’re not familiar with what a half volley pick up feel like, can’t hold that against Smith.

I was talking about the batsmen and thought you were too. Stokes and Duckett had it on theirs hands as they walked off today

No. It was when they came out for the one over. Looked like sunscreen. His hands were covered in it. Not trying to hide it.

Far too much grass left on.
but how good is it to see???

some of the dismissals have been very poor, so its not all his fault
Terrible!

Test match cricket is supposed to be the ultimate battle between bat and ball. This is the complete opposite of T20, where the pitches are roads.

I said to a few mates today, that if the pitch has 10mm of grass on it, mow it before the game FFS! 10mm is way too much these days.
