How do you reckon one would go in Adelaide?

Well, for starters, you wouldn't be able to kick your cigarette butts at the foot of the bar

Good tapas is all about fresh ingredients, which means the food could get a little expensive. But you could target a classy crowd (or wannabe classy crowd) and serve inventions (like the one below) and let them quaff on about how refined they are.

Crab, avocado and licorice ice-cream.

LMAO.

I think you have the dish confused - the pictured pintxos dish has a ball of crab meat, a ball of avocado puree, and a ball of licorice icecream.

That particular pintxos bar has a reputation for being 'inventive'. I made out to the bar chick as though I thought it worked well, although I may have been a bit hasty to wash it down with beer ;)

Have to agree with you there FC  sorry Quichey but it just sounds soooooo wrong.

I'm so crap at taking photo's but this might be more your cup of tea...unless you're a veggie.
It's a restaurant in a chain called The Pravek in Prague. The place was decked out like a prehistoric cave. The photo was our main course...on top of a metal rack is a kebab about 18" ooops 45cm long with venison, wild boar, chicken and beef. Below are 2 pots of sauce/gravy, croquet and hassle back potatoes, onion rings, mushrooms and salady stuff and the basket of bread. That with a couple of pre-dinner beers, the bottle of red and 2 starters and 2 huge ice cream desserts came to a staggering £12.50 each...that's around 20$AU...for the quality I'd have happily paid at least 3 times that. I booked the place online as a birthday surprise for my mate when we went over for a city break. She went back there with her hubby a couple of years later and, sadly, it had closed but I think there's still a couple of others in the city.

Yeah mate, it was bloody scary, but awesome. I jumped about 12m and you couldn't see the water from the ledge!

The locals were jumping from up to the left by the road. It was probably about 16m from up there, mad buggers!

Cheers mate.
The London pics were some of the first I took with an SLR camera and a tripod. Pity I left the UK before I really got the hang of it and could get a similar shot on a clear night.

I like that it's not a clear night, makes for good contrast.

Yeah, true. The St Pauls is better because the clouds were broken, so the effect of the lights on the water gave a better effect.
