Actually, how much of a difference will this make? I hadn't considered this before, but you are correct. Those Ravens who play AFL have far more match experience on Adelaide Oval than their SANFL counterparts, and it's their training base. Adelaide Oval IS their home ground. I fear this will be a huge advantage. If they win through to week 2 of finals, the higher ranked side will be playing AWAY to the Ravens.
How's that work? The side finishing lower gets a home final?
Inconsistencies abound in the new contrived SANFL. If they are to remain, then a home finals system must follow.

It's not their training base, they would have their main session there once a week, only before home games.

So if they play away they don't train there? That would make it once a fortnight.
Still, it's either once a week or once a fortnight more than the heritage clubs get to practice there.

Sturt's always had a good following. We had a crap year last year, that would have pulled the figures down, but I am pretty sure that in 2014, when we made the finals, we would have been up there with the Legs.
I imagine that a Sturt, Norwood or Glenelg grand final would draw the highest potential crowd. Before the reserves joined I would have predicted a sell out between any combination of those three clubs, especially if played the weekend after the AFL circus has finished.
These days, I think about 35,000 with perfect weather, would be the most we could wish for. The two factors of reserves + during (not after) the AFL finals series prevents anything larger.

The ravens will then hastily rush the giant Apricot slice inside the gates, congratulating each other on the foolishness of regular SANFL fans, leaving such a delicious looking Apricot slice within reach. Then, as they head off to get the paper plates and forks, Eric leaps out of the Apricot slice, throws open the gates, then we storm the ravens' strong-hold, shouting our slogans in front of the cameras, waving Eric about whenever a goal is kicked. Those ravens ninnys will have no idea what to do.

Good plan, although it goes against my usual preference to use a Trojan rabbit.



Perhaps the two could be incorporated together? Since rabbits can eat apricots, any sticky-beaked Crows Reserves supporters will not bat an eyelid if they happen to catch Eric being loaded inside beforehand.

Maybe if we told them it's like those coffee beans that taste better after a wildebeest has pooped them out, then I foresee that our combined plans will become a roaring success.
