Wheels fell off a long time ago. Wright has no idea what he is doing and has no idea how to play attacking footy.
Board too scared to sack Wright will probably just offer him another 2 years and send out some more emails about change room improvements.
We wont get 8 goals again. Crowd will be 400 if you are lucky South supporters had a gut full just close the gates and sell the land for housing.

And Jezz McLennan who took up the supplementary list option to further his AFL possibilities cannot make the team and played for Tanunda today.Hazydog wrote:I make it about 18 AFL listed players plus a couple of top ups who’d get a game with any other club in the comp? To all those who support this diabolical Koch inspired initiative, congratulations on wasting 12 months of Jezzas footballing journey, and depriving the Dogs of a player who would have made a difference to us.

The irony being he might have shown a bit more spine than the professionals that squeezed him out..

The weakest result I have ever seen in a game of footy name for name on paper.

Re: Round 11 South v Port
We gave our to, Oscar Clavarino, Elliot Dunkin, Damon Freitag, Bailey Pilmore, Oliver Davis.
Some poor execution under pressure at times but we tackled and spoiled well against a side that had many tall options. Players with only a handful of games, Bradley, Duncan, McManus and Birt ran very hard and helped to give free options.
Set shot kicking by both sides below standard in an otherwise good standard of play.
Some much needed relief for the players and coaches, not to mention the faithful.

I have no doubt he won't be putting himself through this next year. And anyone else thinking of opting for the supplementary draft should heed the cautionary tale.

Linke played for Tanunda as well. The whole extra concession concept is an embarrassment.northerner wrote:He is not our player. Re: Round 11 South v Port
Very happy for my earlier prediction to be way off
5 goals to 2 in the third quarter created a 16 point buffer at 3QT, but given South have only won a single final term this season (and with the Ravens debacle still a touch raw) wasn't at all confident. Managed to hold on courtesy of a late mark and goal from Wheaton.
Hard to argue with the 5 named in the best. Clavarino in particular was magnificent against Port's tall timber. Both debutants had a few handy moments.
20 professionals in the opposition (combined salary of $5M?), with only Moore and Watkins not AFL listed. For the second week in a row Port top-up player Kyle Marshall played ressies for South lol. A sign of the times we're living through.
Speaking of the reserves, South sit top after thumping North by 16 goals. Would be a long time since our reserves were top this deep into a season.

Under the rules, when not selected for Port he can play for your reserves.Kyle Marshall has played for our reserves when not selected by Port (like yesterday).
I would suggest that Centrals have decided not to play him. I would imagine that given McLennan paid Centrals the clearance fee himself (33k) he has been left well and truly out of pocket as well.

Why would Mclennan pay the transfer fee for a multi-million dollar club? Or did I miss some sarcasm?

Re: Round 11 South v Port
Is this also the reason why Rome Burgoyne played for the Eagles yesterday, or has he officially transferred?
Seemed we were struggling for players with injury and illness that he went straight into league and not reserves.
