Think i have it fixed, cleared everything rightout and uninstalled a couple of old footy.net i found in the cache, seems ok for now

If anyone is having troubles logging in on desktop etc, please delete aLL cookies and cache regarding safooty.net

That is where the logging in issues lie - it' sjust an unfortunate issue that happens when things change this drastically.

There isn't anything I can do about it from my end nor the server-side of things.

I hope everyone can get logged in!

For some sort of indication as to the size of the database, just the POSTS table alone has 2.7 Million lines

When you get a chance you may want to look at new member sign ups. Last one was in July 2025 - maybe it doesn't work. Or maybe no one apart from those already here care anymore

BTW, I can now log in with no issues Diss. Great work.

In the preceding months I could only log in via one browser - can't recall which one it was - however last night and today, no issues.

It didn't work for me on Firefox, despite having cleared cookies and cache - had same issue as Lockie - but it is working for me on Edge, without me having to clear cookies and cache!!

I have changed the name of the cookie the site uses

Plus: it should gfix many login issues
Minus: everyone has to login again

It's not perfect looking - but you can now collapse entire sections on the front page, if you don't want them open.

It should keep your state as well, in theory - so it should stay the same each time for each user
