Have heard that will all be giving ressies a crack but the word 'passion' regarding SANFL has been floated in conversation regarding skinner in particular. Dont expect to see alot of them but if all turns sour for them at their respective clubs they have (more or less) pledged allegiance. Hewitt and John Boxer will be fulltime kookaburras this year.
Waste of talent??? Hey if your hearts with one club and a good group of mates i dont see anything wrong with it. We were thrilled to pick up Sparnon last year when he could have easily had a crack at centrals, headed to modbury or any of the Div 1 clubs he was courted by. He said he just wanted to have fun with his footy and saw GG as a great place to do it. Thats the general talk coming from the other SANFL lads as well.
waste of talent was prob wrong wording. if skinner wud rather help gg move up divs than chase individual success then gd on him.

Outed??? No way mate...keep guessin though
Green and gold feathers? Only the 21 that run out each saturday to beat up on opposition teams. One true kookaburra club???? Does that mean collingwood are the only 'true' magpies?? Or are port. Pointless topic really. Second oldest club....good on em. No disrespect of course but lets judge teams on this season performances

only a pointless topic if your on the wrong end of it..you guys say you are kookaburras but you have green and gold in your club colours??..how does that work??..what brain surgeon came up with that idea?..kookaburras are clearly brown and blue
and yes collingwood and port are both magpies..both formed over 100 years ago..and how many more magpies have been allowed in the sanfl,vfl,afl..none

So what???? What Eagles are green, gold and blue???? Or even gold and blue? I've never seen any Hounds that are red and blue. Swans red and white? Should I go on?

You just don't want Centrals kicked out for being different colours to a bulldog. What should they be, brown and white?
By the way, brown and blue guernseys must be f..ing ugly!

Re: SAAFL Div 5 2008
dw: is burra boy ur brother?
hounds, bulldogs, tigers, demons are all popular "symbols" to have as ur club motif..but kookaburras are unusual and as such why did someone choose that as the club "symbol" when their colours clearly are not that of a kookaburra and a far as i can remember the old greenfields oval had no trees, so where were the kookaburras??..what is the history behind it?

Re: SAAFL Div 5 2008
Hmmmm cos there's heaps of Tigers at the Bay.
Panthers down South.
Roosters at Prospect....
Your argument is fairly faulty Zed.
No Burra isn't my brother.
But I did live out North, and I can assure you there are kookaburras out that way. Not just near where your team resides
Why are you being so precious about a logo?

does it really matter if theres no trees at golden grove with no kookaburras, its a club emblem who gives a ****, coz were called the hounds does that mean we need to have kennels around our oval with hounds inside them?
