Re: SAAFL Division 4 & D4R (2012)
Hey Muffler, why does it read:
"Muff, $250 a week recruit from Para Hills"
on a whiteboard in the committee room down at Hawthorn?

Player payments $$$$$$$$
Hamley Bridge budget $300K
Ingle Farm budget $1.7m
kilburn budget $ unlimited
In all seriousness this is out control, the amount of money being offerred to players is a joke, this needs to be addressed by SAAFL or we will see more local clubs closing up. This is not good for our young kids looking to play footy as a 6-7 year old, were will they play in the future.

Re: SAAFL Division 4 & D4R (2012)
imo there is nothing the saafl can do about it. unfortunitly its the way local footy is these days, you just gotta hope your players are loyal... i am not a huge fan of paying players, but i think if the $$$ are spent on the rite typr of player, also if you are goin to pay players you have to pay all A grade players, not just a few. obviously not the same amount... i think some clubs worry bout spending big $$$ on outside plyers and forget bout loyal to players who have been playing regular A grade... finally if paying players is done properly and done with some thought can work really well, but if done incorrectly can turn out to be very damaging to a club..

Rumor has it that 2 are leaving and for big money but they have not had the courtesy (or the guts) to inform the club.
One might be good value the other would be laughing all the way to the bank as he has played ordinary football for the last season and a bit and plauged by injury which meant little or no training = no fitness = little or no value (for money)... money talks and bullsh$t walks they say, long walk just the same.
Good luck to the both of them hope they are happy as they were good to have around the club.
Wallaroo B grade will now be stronger and they say a fool and his money are easily parted and it seems fools are easy to find, I guess a bit of homework is unnecessary if cash and or a point system is not a problem.
Not sure the CFL and the point system that was virtually forced on the SAAFL is the all powering equaliser it was made to look as it seems the local comp is being raped by country teams with lots of cash.
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

Didn't Plympton take up the option to go to Div 4?
