Yep, just went through the scorecards 11 innings between 50s and 1 50 from his past 21 innings since his awesome double hundred in early 2012.
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Klingers 50 then is his first after 11 scores of less than 50

Raphael is out for 40, highest first class score

WW He is a 19/20 year old from West Torrens and is the captain there. Has played Australian Under 19's recently and has made a fair few A grade district tons plus a fair few runs.
His current form has been an 179 in the first A Grade game followed by a 100 the day after in a west end cup one day game.
Will be a very very good player for South Australia!

hopefully he is someone who doesn't end up leaving because of lack of opportunity in the next season or two, we need to keep the good kids coming through

Only concern I have is where to Bat Kelvin. Opens in club cricket and has been opening for Australia U/19's but I'm guessing they want to blood him first for a few games before tossing him to the wolves opening at such a young age.

If he's as good as is said on here why does he have to be batted down the order? FFS throw him in where he is used to batting.
Blewett was 19 and thrown up against McDermott at the GABBA in his 1st shield game.

Couldn't agree more mate if his an opener then open with him no point batting a guy out of position in the end can do more harm than good to a lad that age.

Kelv is definitely best opening. Likes the hard ball coming on to the bat with pace to help him get away. Has not scored a lot of runs for WT down the order, coming in against the med and spinners with an older ball. Give him a crack at the top!

Looking at our best line up though, who does he replace?

Klinger? no
Hughes? no
Ferguson? no
Head? probably not
Cooper? No

If there is an openers spot available, would be get the gig ahead of Raphael?

Probably Kelvin would be next for an opener position after Raphael.

Just might add that Raphael made a hundred in a pre season warm up game v WA.
