That and the Eagles relentless attack on the ball and body make them more than deserved Premiers!

Outclassed today. Snook, Bradley Turner Proud and Martini can hold their heads up
do we need to send a search party out for anyone....???
Yeah Crossy and his mates who lost to us!

As I said I don’t give a F***, bring it
Showing more fight than the bays did today who also appeared not to give a F*** and didn’t bring it.

The Eagles' lesser lights like Comitogianni, Jungfer, Beecken and Firns, were sensational, prepared to do the hard work the Bays weren't. Even Lehmann on McBean a couple of times. Not giving up multiple goals showed their commitment.
It was good to see a team try to keep scoring in the last quarter of a GF.

Thought Proud was the Bays best, and perhaps Martini and Turner. Stretch seemed to have a bit of the ball, but easy ball. The worse thing from the Bays was some of their lily-livered fumbles that, despite pressure, perceived or otherwise, shouldn't happen by committed sportsmen.

well, what can you say, beaten all over the ground from 12 minutes into the first qtr.

we needed to quell the influence of menzels x2 and stengle, hoping our defence would do something different after the 2nd semi, that didnt happen!

at halftime the stats showed we were in front in most kpi's except rebound 50s and was hoping we might show something in the third.........WRONG!!!

10 minutes into the third and the game was over, no marks inside 50, forard line a shambles and the final margin was just. even in the last when the game was al over the eagles defence refused to relax and let us get some cheap goals, a total team effort.
Go The Tiges!!!

Went missing when it counted. Looked flat all day. Eagles ran hard to contests and attacked the ball and body the way we did in 2019. Congrats to them. Apart from Turner, Proud and maybe Martini I didn't really rate anyone else's performance today. Snook battled hard too I guess but we just fumbled, dropped marks, skill errors you name it. Disappointed but the game wasn't even close, was all over early in the third. Can only blame ourselves.

So proud of the lads. Just unrelenting for four solid quarters which is what they needed to deliver. Tackling was absolutely superb. How good was our backline led by Thompson and Giuffreda? Just smothered their tall targets.

Hayes a worthy winner of the Jack Oatey medal. Knights obviously a strong contender. You expect these types to play well. But I reckon our victory was underlined by the absolute first class games of the unheralded types in our team. Firns isn’t the most skilled player but has a lion heart with his workrate, desperation and dedication to the task. He seems to like playing at Adelaide Oval and today played even better than he did in the last year’s GF. Commitogianni another great game grabbing his opportunity. His 50th game today will be the one he remembers. Redden – simply outstanding. Jungfer best game for the club with his tackling and desperation.

Too many things to comment on. I thought the Menzels were due to explode at some point and was waiting for a match like this. D Menzel’s game has exploded 4-5 weeks ago since he ditched his ‘kick around the corner’ when lining up for goal and now nails more than he misses. Strong hands. T Menzel just adds that other bit of class.

Very fitting that Giuffreda had the ball in hand when the siren went. An eagles stalwart whose form has only got better with age. At 34 years of age will he go around another year?

Back to back feels so sweet and goes someway to making up for heartbreak in the 2000s and from about 2014-2018 when we had opportunities and more than once we were the favourites going into a GF.

Bays supporters I feel for you with our club having been there but it’s clear you will be in contention in the next few years. With both clubs’ reserves and U18s doing well I can see a repeat matchup next year.

Some of look at more than just possessions mate

Look elsewhere when you discussing performances in finals

Cross 18 possies, 3 tackles 1 clearances

Parto 19 5 tackles 6 clearances

Get a clue

Crossy maybe well past his best at 34, but he has 2 Magareys, 200 games and 2 Bob Shearman medals to go with it. Shearman medals are voted on by opposition coaches each year.... so its fair to say he' very highly regarded by his peers, most opposition spectators and even your players who formed a guard of honor when he left the ground last week- that is, everyone it seems except you. You are the one who opened your mouth and stuck both feet in it last week when you said he didnt turn up- fair to say you really havent a clue.. so head down the bay and cry in your beer.
