Re: Things that make you sad.

Story Time

Two weeks ago I took HH3 Jnr bowling, and spent about $100 at the arcade. He came away with 1000+ tickets, so ended up with a heap of crap.
Bouncy balls, hacky sacks, tubs of goo, lollies, etc.

He also got a drone for his birthday, so I took him down to Point Malcolm Reserve to fly it. After a few attempts (I crashed it) and the batteries going dead (hadn't charged it), we gave up on that and just threw the hacky sack around.

At some point, he threw it up into a tree and it got stuck. So what do us rocket surgeons do? We grab a bouncy ball each and start throwing them into the tree to knock it down.

After a while, we have a hacky sack and two bouncy balls stuck in the tree.

So we grab the tubs of goo. They're heavy. What could go wrong?

So after a while, we have a hacky sack, two bouncy balls and two tubs of goo stuck in the tree.

After a good 10 minutes of shaking the f**k out of the tree, we reclaimed the hacky sack and both bouncy balls from the tree. We cut our losses on the tubs of goo.

So if you can get them down, they're yours.

His father would have passed away extremely proud of his son.

Eerie, ive had 2 people i know get into a hospital in the nick of time this week. Both thankfully didn't actually have one but both had aquad bypass and tje other had some stenting. Both are otherwise extremely healty eaters and have healthy lifestyles.

Proves it can happen to anyone.

My father in law went to his Dr for a check up...rushed to Ashford, pacemaker installed.

According to the doctor, he should have had a massive heart attach ages ago.

That parents don't educate their kids to let buses pass before crossing the road once alighting, or that they don't see the danger of it themselves.

I was driving along Cross Keys Road a few years back and a girl got off the bus and went to run across the road before the bus took off, a car was going past the bus and hit her, knocked her pretty high up in the air, it was sickening as I was right there, the poor driver was distraught.

Had a similar experience on Monday afternoon, if it wasn't for what I had witnessed years ago the same thing would've happened, hopefully the young lad learnt from his near miss.
