To be fair, Tennyson beach is probably the best in Adelaide.

Grand Junction Road is the border for me, windows go up and doors lock at that point.

We're there all the time because her sister and nieces and nephews are up there. But what's different about this time is we're actually doing the hotel thing, instead of staying in their guest room.

After 8 years of going to Clare and seeing jack shit, we've started doing the touristy things there. A couple of weeks we headed up and spent an arvo sitting on the verandah of the Clare Brewing Co. (Mrs HH3 loves a beer paddle).

Should be a relaxing couple of days (with an 18th birthday pool party in the middle).

Go to Mr Mick's for dinner mate, it's a tapas restaurant and the food is amazing.

I think we're booked in for dinner at Connors tonight, and then the party tomorrow. Will think about Mr Micks next time. We're up there a fair bit.

Not a huge choice of beer but it'll do on a perfect Queensland day while cruising the Brisbane River on a paddle boat.

Should be in the things I dont understand thread, but I dont understand people that live in Adelaide going to a caravan park int he same city for a holiday

Heaps of people do it, my parents are classic offenders, live at Glenelg and go to Kingston Park caravan park for a week!

I use to think along the exact same lines mate when my in laws would come down from the country and stay for 2 weeks every year until we started joining them. The kids absolutely love it, the Mrs and I can still commute to and from work from Brighton and when its all said and done once the van is set and you're living the caravan lifestyle that Caravan park could be on the Gold Coast, NSW or WA.

Kingston park at Brighton is a lovely place that's for sure.

I rate the view of the sun setting over the water passing the Sunshine coast. Beer no 12 going down a treat.

Yep, I'm yet to subscribe to this madness but with a young family now, I can totally get that just being away from the house and near the coast, whether it's 45 minutes of 5 hours away, is an escape.
