Re: Grade Cricket
Interesting, AGM indicated coach was appointed for season 10/11 with Ben Cameron as assistant. Not sure coach could afford breach of contract, might just be shopping himself (again).

Maybe its not a breach , could it be he is coaching two clubs ????? if so how would it work? surely one club would get the raw end of the stick if this was true

Doubt that a coach could look after two clubs. After all everyone plays cricket on Saturdays.

Sorry Az, couldn't happen, not with one of them being a Grade Club.

Re: Grade Cricket
Sleepy isnt going anywhere this year (he was probably at the Para Hill Community Club having a few chandies and spoke out of tune AGAIN)
The Club is turning over a new leaf currently
Cammo has been appointed Cricket Director and Assistant coach he has already set the wheels in motion to guide the club to where it needs to be.
A forum involving players, coaches, administrators and volunteers is being held next week to discuss all parts of the cricket club. Only positive results can come of this.
We have a good young squad and now possibly the best facilities in the comp with the re developed net area and club rooms. The wickets are improving and hopefully(yet doubtful) the footy club wont rip the ground up to much.

Will the current coach be happy with the organisation of his assistant

Russell Thompson is coaching Northern Districts and the Scorpions this year, it most certainly is possible. Cricket coaching is best done at times other than game day.

And Hooper is doing Woodville and SACA 2's and there are numerous other examples of people doing grade clubs and also a role at SACA. But there is no precedent for a person doing a Grade Club and a Turf Club. Coaching is best done away from games, but that is also part of coaching. A grade club would not accept a person trying to coach more than one club team. To know the input required to coach at Grade level you would understand that there is no way you could coach another club at the same time.

How true. Has been for 30 years or more so hardly likely to change now or any time soon. Typical "Boys Club International"

I hear TTG picked up a Northern Jet spinner.
Peter's house mate better start doing some extra jobs around the house. Might be some competition there for spots.

So TTG r not training 3 nights a week as proposed by coach and assistant, interesting. I repeat won't happen and if it does TTG would have to terminate contract IMO.

yes, but can he wield the willow with the aplomb shown by the wily JR. Seriously JR was probably one of a very small number that could hold his head high judged on last years performances. don't know stats but i reckon his strike rate would have been up there with nd spinner, just that nd spinner bowled 1,000 overs for the year and JR was too busy sucking up 2 the umpires 2 get talbot votes to bowl.
