Why so many AFL teams have the "kick a goal, then run off immediately for a rest" strategy. Surely you'd like to see a player have a hot streak, cold be a potential match-winning 5 minute cameo.

Same here, i have never understood this, as a cricket captain i always believe in going with the golden hand. If someone has just hit a 100 their confidence is up, if they are a bowler get them the ball ASAP.

Every AFL club is doing this every single goal, what is the logic/theory behind this.
