Predicting a months rain over 2 days here in Melbourne, sounds like another week off cricket.

I have not looked forward to time off work as much as I am now.

**** the Xmas break, I'll be working more than I have for the last two months!
Penalty rates and having to spend less time with my Mum working Dec 24 and Dec 26 sweetens the deal though. Glad I'm working NYE too as hate the night normally. Working 29th and 30th too! So much sports on!

It's the one thing I do miss from many years ago before they forced us to have a week off was working that week in town, nothing open in town but no parking hassles or traffic, was the best time of the year to work.

Sat out the back watching the tomato's, corn, capsicum, snow peas and beet's soak up mother natures goodness as the sky lit up and the breeze rolled through with a coldy in hand.

Beautiful.

Pretty much did the same, I did hear the loudest crack of thunder in my life though, we nearly shat ourselves, glad the lightning strike from it was out the front. seemed far too close.

I'd say the worst was a pretty quick onslaught just after 6pm, well that's when it got to us. I'd already grabbed a 4 pack of Sol long necks, a litre of CC's and some champers for the missus by then so it could've blacked out for all I cared.

It was awesome to just stand in the heavy rain after such a humid day, not to mention our air-con is officially shagged and waiting for a replacement unit which is going to cost the owners in excess of $4500 due to the danger of where it is.

No wonder I swam home, if they're Mexicans we're living under the Pacific Ocean.
