Haven't been in about 18 months, was pretty good when I went. It's a far cry from the West Darling!amber_fluid wrote:And trying to recoup it with their food priceswenchbarwer wrote:They've dropped some coin on that place, that's for surelocky801 wrote:my mistake the BHP in Broken Hill

I'll be honest, most places in BH are like this, though. Good word of mouth, and your experience is crap. Dodgy recommendations, and you really enjoy it.

It was hit and miss but it was overpriced every time.
Although everything in Broken Hill was expensive I found.

Never had issues 2b honest and im there on and off around 6 months of the year
found the meals there of a good standard, a little more expensive than in the city but FFS you are in the middle of nowhere, so u r going to pay more snitzels are a good size and still only 30 bucks, not much cheaper in some Adelaide pubs i eat at occasionally
Least fuel is cheaper there than Adelaide most times

You'd always expect to pay more out there, but at least the beers are cheap (and in the correctly named glass, too)locky801 wrote:Never had issues 2b honest and im there on and off around 6 months of the year

1700 people in Lebanon have registered with DFAT seeking assistance to fly home. They were able to secure 80 seats out of Lebanon today.
Only 35 took up the offer.

I really struggle to purchase a chicken schnitty for over $15. I do realise that you are incorporating the chef' the waiter, the utilities etc but for the price of chicken they must have a fair mark up, come to think of it, I never buy any chicken dish while I'm out because of that reason.locky801 wrote:Never had issues 2b honest and im there on and off around 6 months of the year

I'm reasonably handy in the kitchen so I am fussy when it comes to eating out anyway, I try and go for something that I'm not great at cooking, I do tend to find something I like at a certain restaurant and get that pretty much every time, except the House of The Red Dragon, I have to get 5-6 dishes and have lunches sorted for the week.

How is it in today's modern age that there are places in the world so war torn, isn't there a better solution to resolve differences? No one wins a war.

Cruising home yesterday down the expressway when I noticed a 3 car chain collision in a 110 zone, like how the actual f*** can that happen?
It was in the right hand lane too.

Re: What The F***
For the last few months on the NEXY at peak arvo time the exit lanes for Womma Rd and Curtis Rd are that long that cars are lined back for a mile on the actual Expressway and have seen quite a few accidents where drivers not paying attention doing 110 can’t stop quick enough to avoid the stationary cars.Lightning McQueen wrote:More of a "How The F***"

Even though the locations have been disclosed several times and driver warnings there's still people who can't or won't get the message.

This was at the start of the 110 zone near the salt pans, I know what you're talking about though, it is a bit crazy at times.Jim05 wrote:For the last few months on the NEXY at peak arvo time the exit lanes for Womma Rd and Curtis Rd are that long that cars are lined back for a mile on the actual Expressway and have seen quite a few accidents where drivers not paying attention doing 110 can’t stop quick enough to avoid the stationary cars.Lightning McQueen wrote:More of a "How The F***"
