India played their first test match in 1932 at Lords and yes, both countries gained independence in 1947.

With all this talk of outside off to the left-handers you would think that we would work it to our advantage and have Swepson landing them there to the right handers?

I think they've been scared off by the history of leg spinners in India being poor.
