Auckland - the traffic is awful, can't understand how it gets on the list.
Perth yep nice, long way from anywhere else though.
Wellington, best harbor view in the world, when its calm, good awful joint when its not.
Brisbane is ok, if you can stand the Queenslanders though.

Re: Things that you rate!
Had a small win this week which I needed after the week I've had-
I bought my wife some Airpods (2nd Generation) off Ebay for $38. They are refurbished ones apparently and they were packaged up like brand new and work fine.
I bought them on the 20th of May and they were supposed to come by the 1st of June. They hadn't come by the 4th, last Friday so I made a request to Ebay about them not being delivered and the seller had to respond and resolve it by the 10th of June. They didn't do that and I got a follow up message from Ebay to say they hadn't received any tracking info from the seller so they refunded me.
On Wednesday the Airpods came in the mail, thank you very much Ebay for the free Airpods!

Railway Hotel down at Port Adelaide, a great little quaint pub to see a band, I'm in for a good afternoon, meal was good too!

There's plenty of bigger, flasher pubs in the Port but the Railway is a ripping little spot that still has the old Port Adelaide feel about it, lovely owners too.Wedgie wrote:Railway Hotel down at Port Adelaide, a great little quaint pub to see a band, I'm in for a good afternoon, meal was good too!

On another note WTF is going on with the Globe? Construction hasn't moved for almost 18 months. Developers got cold feet?

Not sure what they're doing with the Globe, I know they had some asbestos matters to deal with, perhaps still negotiating their way through that?heater31 wrote:The outside desperately needs some urgent TLC. The sunshine today in Malbin... just taking a short break in the back yard ( watched the golf all morning) and soaking in the rays. A beer would hit the spot, but I have another zoom in 20 minutes, best be tidy.

Re: Things that you rate!
Winter trips to Edithburgh.
The parks basically empty. The delightful hum of a mobility scooter motor to raise you out of bed.
A coffee on the deck while you watch guys struggle not to jack knife their trailer trying to back the boat down the boat ramp. Commentating the whole thing to the missus, different voices per character and all.
The mostly empty bistro, where you can listen to the old prick on the next table tell the other old pricks where hes driven his camper lately.
The tradie in the cabin next to you audibly argue with his Mrs on the phone while he has his 8th dart of the night on his deck.
Ah, the serenity.
In all seriousness, it was a good time. The grey nomads are my spirit animals. Also took the Ranger on the scenic drive and hit up the brewery in Minlaton.
Already thinking about the next trip.

Re: Things that you rate!
I had a frontline business leadership course last week, it was very informative and in closing I got a very nice surprise but that's irrelevant for my post.
One dude mentioned that when he was low on motivation etc. he read that you should "make your bed in the morning" to help find purpose and motivation. Initially I thought what a load of frog snot but thought I'd give it a go anyway.
Bloody Hell, something so simple changes my outlook on the day, I've been super organised both at work and at home, all because of my start to the day.

Yesterday was the opening day of slow cooker season, the woft as you walk in the house after having the slow cooker weave it's magic while you're at work.
It was nothing spectacular, just a trial match to brush the cobwebs off, now looking to up the ante.
