Agreed.
I got right into it, the adrenalin of the situation was enthralling, we didn't even need the nurses, only to do the catching at the end.
You do develop the utmost respect for your partner after the experience and it's an everlasting memory that can never be taken away, a moment that gives me goosebumps still 20, 12 and 10 years on, I remember each moment as though it was yesterday.

This x 1,000,000.
Speaking of the entire labour experience- we shifted houses about 4 months ago, and rummaging through hoards of junk to pack away, I came across a piece of paper which I had used to write down the time between Mrs. Valleys contractions. Never has a simple piece of paper held so much meaning.
Junior Valleys turns 1 on wednesday week. Simply can't comprehend where the year has gone, but I wouldn't have it any other way. The lad has brought joy to my life parallel to nothing.

I did ask the missus if she could wrap it up by noon to give me enough time to catch the arse end of the B's, it was #3 though and was a pretty smooth planned birth.

Taped her and sent it to her. This did not have the positive effect I had hoped for.
Sorry, are you saying you recorded one of her crack ups, sent it to her and expected her to enjoy it?
Didn't think she'd enjoy it but felt she might learn from some constructive criticism and take it on board. I was wrong.
As she was letting me know about it whilst she was yelling she farted right near my head. It was the ultimate payback as I broke my ribs at footy on Saturday and laughing is probably the most painful thing I can do. I was in hysterics and crying in pain and screaming and laughing and I ended up learning a lot.

Do you realize how close to drafting your own eulogy you were?

Yes, this angry fart was no accident.
