Looks like Culloden Field? :)

:-o  and I was worried the pics one of my local tourist attractions might be a bit too vague.

Well done...Culloden Battlefield it is... looking out from the roof of the visitor centre.
Here's confirmation from the distant cairn in the 1st pic...

I went there long ago, JAS. I'm a fan of most of Scotland. Broke down while towing a caravan inland from Bonar Bridge and whiled away some time watching otters in the river upstream - lovely surprise.

Next pic - don't be fooled, it's a major city.

No worries, but it can't be before this evening, so if anyone can do one before then, go ahead.

I have to confess that the vast majority of my photos are on slides, which I'm slowly converting to CD, so I'll broaden mu horizons as that process continues.

Doesn't have to be exact; close will do.

Not sure of the geography, but it would be close, or at least in that general region of the world.

It's not Laos or Vietnam, though.

Yes, it's China.

Not Huangshan mountains. I don't know Bangwhan province, but it's not in it.

I'll pay the closest general area, city, town or location.

Otherwise, SJABC is next.

R&B is well travelled. I'm a n00b with a disregard for his safety

I've had a bit more time to travel than most (all?) of you.

I still backpack, but my hitchhiking days are long gone :)

Picture answer:

It's the Li River in Guangxi, China. Main town is Guilin, one of the most scenic places in China. The river trip is wonderfully scenic.

Anyone post the next pic, or SJABC?
