Did not play mate, was spose to play c's with my first game this year but you guys forfeited.Have not played because of injuries and work. You boys played well and shut us down, fully deserved the win in a pretty good standard game I reckon.Just wonder how you boys will go with a few injuries though..........B's were pretty ordinary.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Central United victors over Smithfield confirming their premiership threat
Plympton defeat an out of character Kenilworth in front of a big crowd at St.Marys Park
Adelaide Lutheran demolish a beaten and bruised Glenunga
Fitzroy continue Elizabeths problems (good to see Troy Wittwer playing in the magoos, will he ever hang up the sandshoes??)
Greenacres continue to impress with victory over Brahma Lodge.
With the exception of Glenunga this looks to be a very even competition people.

Yeah they are pretty good most of the time,we have a bit of history with them.I think you will find all teams are about the same except Glenunga.I think if we can win 3 out of our first 5 our depth will get us alot more victories later in the year when everyone has problems with injuries.Think you guys will be round the mark too but if you get some injuries you will drop off a bit.Thats my opinion, time will tell though.

hey guys,
player from smithfield here. think its the first time anyone from Smithfield has posted on here.
Disappointing loss for us on the weekend against local rivals Central United with both teams evenly matched. They will definately around the mark this year, expect them to finish top 4 easily. Feel sorry for Matty Purcell who went down with a knee injury in the last quarter. Not sure how bad it is

haha, does anyone in SMithfield know how to use the internet. Good one! And yes i do wear #1.
Yeah, we organised the game on Saturday to be a night game, but a week and a half ago, Central United rang us up and said their lights hadnt been working and they hadnt been training under lights, so they wanted a day game so it was a level playing field. Unfortunate really cause i think we would have got a big crowd at a night game. But it was a good crowd down there anyway. Maybe Deano from Central United can clarify why they pulled out.

[quote="lizbeff eaglez On a happier note Troy Wittwer played his 1st game of footy with his son Josh today in the Bs. He was very proud, Josh is a gun, 1 of the best on ground[/quote]
I hope young Josh got a clearance from Central United, not that he'll play many games for anyone other than Central Districts U/17's this year.

One of the clubs greatest days, besides the premierships.
For anyone who didnt know, we had the place graffittied all over with SFC and comments about Hooker and players, scoreboard and walls sprayed. Got a call at 7am and the whole committee got out there painted for hours and we had covered it all b4 anyone had got there. Then to win the game!!!! Frickin SWEET!
