Nothing escapes you Paccy!!
Any other rumours you need confirmed??
Have you been able to cover the loss of Pollock BD?
From what I have heard he is doing a pre-season with North...far from lost to TTG if you ask me...will only stay at North if he plays League on a consistent basis!! Wouldnt surprise to see him playing at TTG again!!!
Yeah, Polly is trying his hand at North Adelaide. Really hope he makes it for his sake. He will do everything he can to play League, but if not, he should be back in the red and black and will be welcomed back in open arms.
As for covering him in the event that he makes it at North... well there are a couple of good, strong lads that are coming back to the club, and Travvy Wright has always been a solid defender. We should be right there. Also need to work on covering the big loss of Bennett at full back. 6 foot 1, 115kg muscle-bound full backs are hard to come by!
Will have a strong list in 2010, but we will definitely need it if the standard in 2009 is anything to go by!

you guys should b around the mark again but i reckon these 2 guys are in a different weight division. Gibbo is a good player but not the same explosive power and game breaking ability IMO. hope Brunoli plays a full yr out at Norwood..
so who has left Henley? anyone retired/left? also what about goodwood saints, anyone retiring/leaving? hopefully half the team so that someone else can win it
BigDaddy wrote:Bruno isn't back at Norwood mate, he has gone to Meningie.
id drive to Meningie for 900
yeah but by the time you got back u'd have 700 and would have been flogged! no matter how good bruno is (and i know hes bloody good) meningie are still gonna be the 6-7th team in that comp. good luck to him though. personally id stay at the gullies.

Pretty sure Malcolm Pohlner has retired for Goodies haven't heard of others.
Surely K. McGregor would be worth 5 goals a game at Div 1 level. You'd think he'd atleast kick 3 a game if at CHF, maybe more is played deep in attack. His body work and smarts would lend to another couple around the packs for the little blokes. That would inturn put Henley very much in the hunt for a flag. Big test for the defence of Div 1 clubs this year. His brother will be no slouch at CHB too.
That full back from TTG is the biggest bloke I've ever seen play footy haha. I don't even know how he moves out there he's that heavy. Was the biggest collision of all time late in the year between scooter berry and him out at TTG. No one took a backward step and they both crunched eachother. I would say Pollock would be spending the whole year at North. You don't just try your hand for half a year at a new club and then quit if your not getting a game. You atleast give yourself a year. On a personal note I'm happy he's gone so I don't have to listen to him yapping non stop! Shane Harris looks like he's hanging the boots up at Henley with a troublesome knee. Justin McConnell in talks with henley aswell. 80 odd league games at glenelg I think?

Don't think many are leaving Goodies, but know of some that looked...

yeah i've heard that too. a great pick up for them. great bloke too. played with him in the state side and is a champion bloke too. would prob be playing for next to nothing too (that's not being smart either). he definitely gives that extra bit of nip around the packs and i think would complement the goodies line up better than most of their recruits of the last 2 years.

Brenton Reidy i've heard can't commit to A grade next year and will settle in the B grade in 2010.

Thanks mate. Just for clarification, the full back is Trystan Bennett, he's fine. Bennett Sparrow was our ruckman. He passed away early on Sunday morning One of the nicest blokes I ever had the privilege of calling a mate. The reality hasn't kicked in yet. Just feel so much for his family and his twins Kade and Flynn.
A lot of the lads are really struggling at the moment.

That is just terrible news. Brings a tear to the eyes to see pictures of him with his boys... Thoughts and sympathy to all his family and friends and the TTG Footy Club as well.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
