You would have to be happy with that lot.

I was pretty nervous heading into tonight, but I think we have done reasonably well with our selections.

Rozee at 5 is a ripper. This selection worried me the most, based on what potentially could have happened above us, and the temptation for us to look at a Ben King or Bailey Smith, who for mine, carried huge flight risk.

Rozee is an absolute star and will be an elite player for us for 7-10 years once he reaches his full potential. Connor was certainly best available at #5 and definitely fills a need for us. A terrific user of the footy by hand and foot, elite aerial skills and full of pace and x-factor. Was the best player in the country as a 16 year old, rapt to have him at the club. Will play Round 1 next year without a doubt.

Love Zak Butters. Love him. Lacks the scope and the x-factor that Rozee possesses, but his skills and football IQ are up there with the best of this draft. Check his highlights - on two separate occasions he took possession of the footy inside 50- players of his calibre by foot would be excused for having a ping, but Butters assessed the situation and was able to spot up forwards in the funnel 30m out. Bliss.

Mightn't transition into a full time mid but will service well on a flank, it wouldn't surprise me to see Zak line up for us in R1 and play some senior footy next year.

Duursma at #18 is the apparent reach, depending on which way you look at the draft. Possesses a powerful physique, is explosive away from a stoppage and is very agile for his size. I am in love with his skills by hand, but have concerns by foot - something we can ill afford at Port Adelaide at this present time. A prolific TAC cup campaign masks over a underwhelming championships. I have question marks over this one, particularly given what went around him.

I like Butters, think he has the biggest upside out of the lot. Can see him & Rozee playing Rd 1 next year

Very happy with Rozee and Butters, will look more at Duursma today before I say too much about him.

R.Gray Marshall Ryder
Rozee Dixon Farrell

Looks a more balanced forward half.

This is pretty cool insight, although the February thing might be a bit of jam on the doughnut!

I know he would have been on their radar but to say he was their man In Feb is a stretch.

*sigh*

I'm sure they were. Did we think we could get pick 1 off Carlton? No. Did we think we could get pick 2 or 3 off Gold Coast? Probably not. Did we think we could get pick 4 from St Kilda? Probably not. Did we think Lukosius and Rankine would be there at 5? Probably not.

*sigh*

Port aren't the only club to do this but am I the only one who cringes at these 'staged behind the scene' marketing videos all sports and clubs now try and potray as exclusive footage.

I wonder how many takes that took them. Reminds me of watching the 'Amazing Race' contestants film there run to scene to get on the plan over and over and over again.

Yuck.
