Makes absolutely no sense. If BL have enough for 2 sides they should not go down to Div 5. Effectively they have gone from Div 3 to Div 5. I hope there are no red faces come August/September at Thebby at least we know 2 that won't.

Agree with this. Its been ok the last couple of years for Abahma's to spend and recruit from other clubs and soon as they get hit they cry to the league who give them what they want. How about doing it tough like other clubs have in the past and are currently. They get 2 sides together they should be where they are meant to be and not in Div5.
this will be interesting considering a side that was ment to be relegated to div 4 manage to stay in div 3 and now brahma lodge can go down to 5 and another div 5 side is allowed up
mitcham never should have been rewarded for getting relegated and should have had to stay in div 4 that would have ment salisbury west went up to div 3 and now this with brahma lodge why did cboc or greenies not get the same reward as mitcham seems like double standards to me
would love to see how anyone can justify any of that
Glenunga promoted to Division 4 to swap with Brahma Lodge who will now go to Division 5. Direct swap so no change to the draw.
Welcome aboard Glenunga who has now managed to jump 4 grades in about as many years with only making one grand final (or 2? cant remember)
Gee Whiz haven't Glenunga been kissed on the pecker the past couple of years!!! Didn't make GF in Div 7 in 2010 yet gifted free ride to Div 6, no GF in Div 5 but gifted ride to Div 4. Up 3 grades in 3 seasons and didn't make the GF in 2 of them

Will they be able to handle the step up again though?
How things have changed. In 2005 Plympton lost 18 of their A grade to other leagues, so, we were left to grin and bear it with a few old guys and a group of kids. We lost every game, some by a lot, went from D4 to D5. The kids stuck by the club and with recruiting and development, we rebuilt. How is it that BL are not made to do the hard yards. Understand they could use the option to stay down, but to now select a comfort zone, is hardly believable
Of the 29 listed as outward clearances for Brahma Lodge 17 are to other SAAFL clubs. How many of those are returning to their former clubs? Maybe the league needs to look at increasing the points on players between SAAFL clubs so we are less inclined to eat our own.
