I swear every time I see a Tassie scorecard he is out for under 5
Always seems to get a good one early haha.
Averages 30.66 in Shield cricket so that is very average, scored 56 in the second innings against Queensland last game.
Eagles2014 wrote:Davis not up to this level (was great catch, but still)

I think you might be being a bit harsh because his dismissal was very unlucky, that was ripping catch by Paine.

Stick to my comment re Davis, he is not a first class cricketer. Handy Grade cricketer, but how he got a contract when he is nearly 30 is another baffling decision by Tim Neilson. Same with Connor McInerney. We are a dead set rabble, no doubt with only 10 District teams next year we will improve though

Why is he batting at 3 anyway?
Surely Ferg or even Head have to bat there and he bats 4.

Any chance Head can make these runs in the first innings when we need him too?

Would be nice, bet Ferg gets a decent score here as well ;)

Like Chadd, a very handy bowler who would've played more for Australia if we didn't have so many world class bowlers.

Oh to have that sort of batting depth...

Yeah fair enough now I think, they've given him a good chance at 3 and he unfortunately hasn't really made the spot his own, in a season where most of the batsmen from each state are making runs consistently. Got a couple of regulation and very similar outside edges- caught Gotch, bowled Boland in this match.

Perhaps we will see a change next match? If Ferguson can make some runs in the second innings maybe he'll go back to 3?

Head is not really a number three though IMO, always seemed to be a genuine number 4/5 with his naturally attacking, stroke play game.
