He struggled to make the Eagles Reserves team didn't he? I thought he looked ok watching a couple of Reserves games back in 2021 - but a big call to say he's developed in 12 months to go from not quite Reserves level to a starter in League.gazzamagoo wrote:Pretty handy?Booney wrote:Be a lock for round 1.northerner wrote:Dale Pearce (ex Eagle juniors and this season Pt Districts A1) signed with Dogs.
Was only playing at Port Districts with his mates because he couldn't make the Eagles reserves team. A nice long kick, quite accurate, a solid mark overhead but not very good at ground level. A good lad, hope he has success.Aerie wrote:He struggled to make the Eagles Reserves team didn't he? They'll need to put out 2 reserves teams at the current rate. The analyst wrote:Centrals reserves are going to be very strong with all the reserves players they are recruiting !
With Mark Ross's judgement, we are very confident that most of these recruits will play significant time in the One's. We have selected quality individuals, all with a huge upside to them. 90% of the recruits are aged 22 or under and most have played State junior football. They should set us in good stead for the next 5-10 years; not looking just at instant success, but building another dynasty like the 2000's.mots02 wrote:They'll need to put out 2 reserves teams at the current rate. The analyst wrote:Centrals reserves are going to be very strong with all the reserves players they are recruiting !
Remember, just 2 years ago Harry Boyd was running around with Shepparton.Aerie wrote:He struggled to make the Eagles Reserves team didn't he? We will see.ferret wrote:He ain't no Harry Boyd nor has the potential to be in that realm.
Sometimes you just have to be realistic and take off the rose coloured glasses. I like Dale, I've watched all his senior games but he is not a league level player.gazzamagoo wrote:We will see.ferret wrote:He ain't no Harry Boyd nor has the potential to be in that realm.
Are you suggesting that we have solely recruited him as a depth player?ferret wrote:Sometimes you just have to be realistic and take off the rose coloured glasses. You have to take into account the fact he didn't like life at the Eagles. He showed a lot more form at Port Districts, where he rediscovered his love for the game; a much, much better player than when he left the Eagles.ferret wrote:Sometimes you just have to be realistic and take off the rose coloured glasses. What a load of bullshit, of course he might not have liked it at the Eagles when he was found to be not good enough, like any other player when they get dropped. The lower standard at Port Districts might have suited his standard better. It just pays to be realistic sometimes. It doesn't matter what you say "Bulldogproud" it will definitely not change my opinion.bulldogproud wrote:You have to take into account the fact he didn't like life at the Eagles.
