I haven’t driven in Manila despite being there several times but have driven in Jakarta and it’s bedlam and probably the worst I’ve driven in which is a big call considering I’ve driven in Bangkok and HCMC at peak times.
Driving in the UAE is fun as the infrastructure is superb and you have 4 and 5 lane freeways out in the middle of nowhere. The Abu Dhabi to Al Ain highway had a 160km/hr speed limit which was fun in the rental car. I heard that since our last trip they have cut it back to 140km/hr but a few highways have a minimum speed of 120km/hr and the fines are far higher for going too slow than they are for speeding. Emirati folk don’t believe in indicators anywhere though and will just change lanes when they feel like it :)
I’m one of those that love to drive everywhere overseas so have no problems in the big cities

I’m acutely aware of that, in fact, I’m concerned it’s become ingrown.

This morning!

I normally get the office about 5.30-20 to 6. (I get more done in that time before 7.30am that i do the rest of the day, joys of an open office) anyway what sh!ts me is;

This morning i left 10-15mins later than usual (5.35am) 8 sets of lights from my place to the office, this morning 7 red ones, fu(king 7 out of 8. I can only assume potentially the sequence chances at 5.30am???? I just know that i basically never get a red light at all, i kid you not at that time of the morning i almost never get a Red light yet this morning 7 out 8!

Note to self, continue to leave the house at 5.15-5.20 not 5.35.

Rant over
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

Yep, happened to me picking mum up from the airport early Sunday morning - in some cases there were no other cars at the intersection either. Shits you to tears.

On Wednesday I had to travel the length of Cross Rd from the tollgate to Anzac Hwy. Every red light including pedestrian & railway crossings (1 was a freight train). Did the same trip yesterday almost green the whole way. :roll:

All toilets in our building have stopped working.
I work on the 16th floor and had a bacon and egg sandwich and iced coffee for breakfast.....
