Ha Ha

No worries Champ, I stand by everything I’ve said

We applied the pressure in the Prelim and South players couldn’t handle the heat in kitchen and that was the result. A certain player not mentioned least I hurt anyone’s feelings, again.

In the GF Eagles provided the pressure and we couldn’t handle the heat, some even went missing. Eagles are deserved premiers.

One of the best displays of pressure finals footy I’ve ever seen, they deserved to be lauded.

I call the good the good and bad out of all sides, if people can’t handle that, meh!

I just find it amusing that you and others keep bringing this up I’ve moved on unrepentant.

One more year South fans, one more year…..

PS The karma sledge would hurt if I believed in that psycho-esoteric bull sh!t

Think everyone just wanted to hear those words you obviously are struggling to say.... "I was wrong"

Then we could have all moved on!!

Have a go at South, that's fine, but the crack at Joel Cross was unnecessary and lacked total respect.

Have not heard one person on this forum defend you which should show you you were out of line.

Read it slowly & carefully,,,
“Can someone ring SAPOL on 131 444 and do a missing persons report for Joel Cross”
FFS, you’d think he’d shot Bambi. He had a go at his quiet performance in the Prelim, not his career.
The way this has been spun is laughable. And you want an admission of wrong doing?
With all due respect, some of you need to get a life if you’re this easily (and wrongly) outraged.

I don't need an apology, folding in another GF was satisfying enough.

Thanks lads.

Nothing like folding in a prelim though….

Without wanting to sound like a broken records the lesser lights of the Eagles standing up when it counted was impressive
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

That was surprisingly easy.

Yes, Joel Cross is a modern day legend of the SANFL and every time I have seen him play he gives 100%, is fair and never shirks a contest. You can see why he has won those Magarey's so to disrespect him in his last game just does not sit well with every SANFL fan I know, including my Glenelg mates

With all due respect, some of you need to get a life if you’re this easily (and wrongly) outraged.

South supporters that watched him every week have mentioned that Cross played a different role this year (and particularly towards the end of the year) compared to previous years where he has been playing more forward rather than in the midfield.

If you consider this and his performance over the whole year, he didn't actually go missing at all during the prelim:
- His average possessions per game for the year were 17.83
- Prior to round 14 where he got injured he was averaging 20.08 possessions. After coming back from injury he averaged 14.6 possessions (which includes the 18 in the prelim).

If you're used to him being a matchwinner and getting 30+ possessions every week, then realize that this wasn't his role this year - he didn't have a single game where he got over 30 possessions, and only 2 games were over 25.

In 2019 I said the best game of footy I saw was the 2nd Semi, great game of footy two teams having a decent crack at it

2021 the best 4 qtr team performance I saw was the Eagles in the GF

Not one passenger
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Not much being said about the Menzel Bros. They both received a DCM at Centrals and came up with 7 goals between them on GF day. :?

There also was an incident in the game where the Bay ruckman punched the ball through the goal from a bounce. A free was awarded against him. Although technically ok , the umps need to get a feel for the occasion. They don't need to be the center piece of the game.

Actually I think that is "the rule".....not just an in-the-moment whim of the umpire as deliberate. It is the same at boundary throw ins, and has been for some years, as far as I know.

It’s been in the rules for years the Glenelg ruck should’ve known
Boundary throw in if the Glenelg player didn’t hit the ball like a ruck man no free would’ve been paid again a rule that’s been in for years
