I hear that a club within the APFL might be securing/have secured a very good Div 2 player to add to their stocks.
Could be reuniting with a former team mate out that way!
The compass is waiting, you've only got to ask and out it comes!!!!

Josh was a very good player about 2 or 3 years ago. I think he went country after Walkerville. Can play anywhere really. Would be a good pickup. He certainly always gave the Raggies a headache when he played.

Played back at Walkies this year after a stint at Mannum I think. Missed a bit of footy this year but can definitely play the game.blublurag wrote:the observer wrote:Can any one out there give me a run down on Josh Gould Did he play many games at Walkervillle/Injured ability etc etc

Missed a lot of the year with injury, came back for finals and even though still carrying an injury acquitted himself pretty well. Had a massive impact in the final against Old Iggies, kicked 5 or 6 clutch goals.
Walkys are a much different outfit compared to the previous times they've been in Div 2.

They would need to be if they want to stay up. Talk about a yo-yo club. I used to look on with interest when Walky boys would be at the Div 1 GF with their medals around their neck, chests puffed out etc etc..... another Div 3 flag. Then of course they go up to Div 2 and BANG, straight back down again. This has happened a couple of times over the journey. Let's see if the club can stay up for a few years.......
Has anyone seen Sammy G, the KING of Teringie.

Have you ever won a senior premiership? Let alone an A grade flag. If you had, I'm sure you'd puff out your chest too.

Re: SAAFL Div 2 & 2R (2010)
ROCS will be an interesting proposition in Div 2. Will they be able to retain some of their quality players like Litster....he has looked around in the off season for a couple now and now they are in Div 2 will the Big Drew move on???
Trimmers coaching Uni is awesome....played State with Trimmers a couple times and he is not only a great player, but a great bloke...will serve Uni well!! Will be interesting in the first ROCS v Uni game, coming up against his old side!!
Modbury will always be a stand out Div 2 side....unlucky not to stay up (but I guess they were gifted 2 pts against TTG and that didnt even save them). With a good list and the players there for the right reason, they will be the team to beat!!
PHOS & Uni seem to be treading water a bit....PHOS were top 2-3 for a fair while in Div 2 4-5 years ago....need to find their consistency.
Athelstone under new coach Daniel Thomas, will be interesting....unfortunately it is not all about opening cheque books to win a flag or move up a Div....Players need to be there for the right reason....look at the Lester Ross, Anthony Pierre and Glen Molloy debarcle....big names, big dollars, big demotion to Div 3....
Eastern Park....did well last year, but are they really ready to step up to Div 1....probably not!!
As has been stated...will be a good comp, but my tip is Modbury to take out another flag!!!
