Yeah, you'll get a real bum deal...
Politicians kissing babies for good luck,
TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.
You don't need no golden cross to tell you wrong from right,
The world's worst murderers were those who saw the light.

That's including the drinks.

Fire away then, them Jamie Oliver $10 dinners is a load of poop, all good if you already have half the stuff in your pantry.

I thought the same about COles when they brought out the $10 meals with other chef, can't think of his name, Curtis Stone?. The fine print said $10 per person :?

roast potato cubes? If this isnt a secret recipe, feel free to share, although it appears to be fairly self explanatory.

I'd rather eat a cardboard box.

You'll need sauce for the snags and chips along with something to mask the taste of broccoli from the broccoli.

Not sure about you but I can't eat greasy food without washing it down with something fizzy.

1) Peel the spuds
2) Cut them into small cubes 1.5cmx1.5cmx1.5cm is good
3) Put them in a prepared baking tray
4) Spray oil over the spuds
5) Sprinkle Mixed Herbs over the top. Dont be stingy
6) Bake on 200 degrees til golden brown and crunchy.

Delicious!!

I more wonder why on earth you'd even bother with broccoli if you're eating snags and chips

That's like ordering a diet coke with your big mac meal

Im a bit the same with the drink, but my point is it can be done if you need to.

Im of the mindset that we should get something really nice to eat a couple of nights a week, and the others we should just eat to get nourishment. That way when we do go out, we have more money to spend and enjoy ourselves. This view is not necessarily shared throughout the household.

How much did the can of oil spray and the mixed herbs cost? ;)

I will give it a go though mate.

It made me laugh slightly as we make produce boxes at my work and I reject many potato carton designs, my answer to it is to make cubed potatoes so they fit tighter into the cartons.

We have veg with every meal. And sausages aren't that bad if you cook them right.

Last night we had home marinated pork spare ribs, chips, broccolini and bok choy. **** delicious!!

All up it would've cost about $12 to feed two adults.

If i get the price for the amount of spray and herbs used solely for this meal, probably 20-30c.

I have a cooked meal every night, I have my 2 kids with me 4 nights a week and I'm by myself Monday, Tuesdays & Thursdays, I'll skimp on my lunches to make sure that I can eat well in the evening, we have a lot of various stir-fry's so I can chuck a heap of vegies in.
I do pick the right time to go into Woolies though to grab their reduced meat specials as we like to have a good steak a couple of times a week, I've scored pretty well there through incorrect labeling aswell.
