Re: Round 13 South v Norwood Saturday 1410
We have been very poor down at Noarlunga through recent history, our lack of fitness on the bigger ground is also a major concern.
Wonder if Wilson will finally start on the wing?

Re: Round 13 South v Norwood Saturday 1410
Strongest looking South team in a while. Great to see Mal Karpany back, he is one of our most skilled players and adds so much class. Trimming the interchange down will be hard in a good way. A little strange going with a lot of tall players considering the weather due for Saturday, maybe it’s due to clear up a bit in the afternoon? Go Panthers!

I hope this works out well for both.darley16 wrote:Historically these are the games South lose, those games with much depending on the result, all Southies know this. This will be close and maybe the game of the shortened season, a draw is not out the equation.
Noted South and the Woods Netball Club have now become one club the the Woods Club to called the South Adelaide Panthers, located at Flinders Uni Stadium same colours and club logo, great initiative by both clubs and the first SANFL League club and Premier Netball club combining, well done al parties with the result hopefully bringing all levels of Government to fund furtther and urgent development of the Noarlunga facilty.
Harlequin Netball Club (Central District since 2017) and the CDFC affilliated in 1998. Harlies joined the State League and rose quickly through the ranks after being a foundation club in the ENA. They only played a one or two seasons at the states top level, now the elite "Premier League", in the early 2000s (IIRC at about the same time Woods entered the seniors.) Centrals are currently playing in the Netball SA's supporting Metro league.
Happy to be corrected on any of this, I'm aware of at least one regular poster on here that might have a better idea.
Anyway, play on.

Agreed. I mean, fancy the folks down there wanting one expressway to go in two directions at the same time.Jim05 wrote:Stop voting for Labor down there you idiotsblueandwhite wrote:Of course the government also funded new womens change rooms for an eastern suburbs rugby club that doesnt even have a womens team..Jim05 wrote:And rightfully soblueandwhite wrote: Applications for assistance from the federal Govt for women's change-rooms fell on deaf ears (sports rorts) because the ground is in a safe labor seat...Nothing to see here, move on.

FWIW, and I don't know about others but, light hearted or otherwise, f/k knows there's enough party political news and bickering around in different formats from here and overseas to sate most desires, even a place for it on this site. Enough said.
Back on topic. South by four to five goals.

Norwood kissed on the proverbial that first half to still be in the game. Some poor goalkicking by South.

Watched from the 4 min mark of term 2 and it was all Panthers. If they could kick straight it'd be over.

Scoreboard absolutely flatters Norwood. Perfect conditions here in the first half and we can’t catch or dispose of the ball efficiently.

Not if Glenelg lose today .Surely Norwood couldnt lose to West and if Sturt beat Glenelg there is still hope .

Re: Round 13 South v Norwood Saturday 1410
Great team performance by South Adelaide! All played their part and it was very nice to pour in the goals in the last quarter and end with more goals than behinds. Shout out to the Norwood player who kicked the wrong way from the first clearance of the last quarter, set up a goal and the quick start we needed to put the game well beyond doubt. South’s pressure around the ball was fantastic all game, never let up. Best Panthers performance I’ve seen in a few years, Finals here we come! Go Panthers!

Re: Round 13 South v Norwood Saturday 1410
Norwood have a good list of players but maybe struggle towards the bottom end of their best . Take nothing away from South . This a good team and need a couple back and who knows.
