Quoting myself here - but my comment was timely, following the news that was announced in the 'Tiser this morning - and that is that 7000 new homes are being built in a satellite town between Virginia and Port Gawler. So you may see new footy clubs developing in that area.
It depends how these new clubs see themselves and their identity - and I could imagine a new large suburb drawing people from the city won't identify itself as an Adelaide Plains type footy club. Will be interesting to watch.

700,000 homes might be a slight exaggeration - try 7000!!!

Heres a challenge 4 someone, find the biggest inter league road trip in SA footy. Im guessin maybe oodnadatta-Marree? Then compare it distance wise to Trinity(Gawler) to Kenilworth(St Marys).

dont think its going to be to far to travel to trinitys new ground.anything beats the oval they played on last season.

Milang to Kersbrook in Hills Div 2 a few years ago was a bit of a hike!

Many years ago Barrossa Districts played in the Hills as well, Williamstown is even further than Kersbrook! Long way to go to get flogged by 50 goals! Even longer to get home:lol:

yeah our trip out to flinders uni made for a late night home.far to many pubs on south rd!

That would have been a hike! Lots of curvy roads too - slowing trip down even more.
