Or did you think the club was paying to much to some players and not getting your value back on what you are paying them.
No bud. I and the rest of the exec were rapt with the performance of all those players, in particular their commitment to training and club functions. Exactly what you want really.
I'm 100% in control of the contract negotiations this year and the decision to cut back a little was mine, and had nothing to do with player performance.

I assume you are still playing Q? If so how do you find negotiating payments and paying blokes you play alongside?

Yes, still playing. It's easy when they're good blokes who put in the hard yards like everyone else. Let's be real though, the sum total of these contracts probably add up to what one bloke might get at a top D6 club. The main thing is to make sure every A-grader gets looked after in some way.
I've had some interesting interviews with possible recruits over the last couple of years. Blokes asking big money in one breath, and in the next breath telling me they can't train much.

Hope the Lyell Mckewenn's Emergency Department is quiet that day. Sense a lot of hard hits in that game.
I am sure both clubs will be on their best behaivour. I can't see it not attracting SAAFL officials and possible the men in blue? I am confident that each president and coach would be reinforcing this and the consequences to their players and supporters to ensure no one enters the ED as a result of an event on or off the field that day.
It is an interesting first round fixture. I do wonder whether this is deliberate or by chance from the league?
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.
