Re: CH9AFL Division 5, 2016
It has been fantastic to see our B grade get some reward for effort over the last 4 weeks. Having a more settled side and some returning injured players has made a huge difference. Looking to continue it this week v Elizabeth at home and then Rosies away and keep giving ourselves a chance of playing the major round. Must keep winning though.
Hats off to Zed and his mob on Saturday getting the choccies in the late game. I think they kicked the last 5 goals of the game from late in the 3rd to get up by 4 points and put a slight ding in our 2006 premiership reunion and ladies day celebrations, but that's the way it goes.
WIll be a very interesting last 5 weeks in both the A's and the B's.

cheers sprint..the turn around in your B grade from 3-4 years ago is to be commended..our ressies lads just didnt come prepared to work hard and put the effort in..
martin, who is a sizable beast, looked like winning the game off his own boot in the A grade but full credit to our boys who kept pushing and harassing even when we went 4-5 goals down..great reward for persistence and determination..the first round game was decided by a point with 20 seconds to go..this one required a nerve shattering 3-4 minutes before the siren rang out..one win each now and i am sure we will meet again before the year is over..BOS still the team to beat if you want to win the flag..heccies very close behind them..

Not often seen all 5 Reserves winners had the results turned around with the opposite 5 A grade winners..

It might depend which team cbc put on the park in their B's 9 changes from last weekend to this seems a little questionable?

CBC may have had a fair few unavailable because their C grade only had 17 against our C grade and they are the top side in the division..

that was right in front of the premiership reunion tent. he absolutely nailed it and told us all about it straight after. we may have suggested he wasn't up to it as he was approaching for his kick. good composure.
two critical turnovers by us late in the last quarter really hurt.

a few lads were getting all sorts of advice from that tent late in the day!
the reversal free kick with the yellow card on the far wing hurt you..
in the first quarter we gave away a free kick in your forward lines..a scuffle occurred..you had 2 sent off for yellows but retained the free kick..couldnt work that one out..

Uni exams really stretched us, plus a few injuries. Triple header & Veterans Day at dolphin park this weekend. Won't have any issues getting 3 teams together.

4 yellow cards issued by the same ump who had his mate shaking his head...the 2 in the one incident you speak of Zedman were apparently told that they'd done nothing wrong that he just wanted to 'calm things down', even one of your players (credit to him) said to the ump that one of the guys wasn't even involved '...almost as good as receiving a free kick a couple of weeks ago because the umpire was lied to by an opposition player (where does that appear in the rule book?)...and they have no influence?? Hmmmm but credit all the same, you guys took your chances.

stunning use of the yellow cards..very officious and a bit over the top..free kick count 45-22 BOS's way was also a curious stat we thought..
did we tackle that badly all day?..must have eh!?

Wow...you sure you guys cleared your stats app from the previous week or didn't count in 2's?? Very strange indeed.

our stats guy loves counting anything..its accurate..9 in a row to BOS after the start of the second quarter!..we were a bit sloppy at times with our tackling but i think thats our first real wet/muddy conditions all year so we have to learn to go a bit lower on those sorts of days..the frustration did build though..lopsided free kick count probably balanced out by the procession of yellows that went against the hounds..

Re: CH9AFL Division 5, 2016
well done to the lad from CBC D5R side who approached the umpires after the game & played a major part in having a report against one our lads not proceeded with. Evidently he told them there was nothing in it & that he thought it was all good. It was frivolous, so well done to that player.
Also apologies to CBC for our players not hanging around for a drink. We all had to run to make ourselves somewhat presentable for our Annual Ball tonight.
