Might have to pack one.
Can’t believe people thought these jokers were a chance this series. Feasted on minnows for the last 18 months and were always going to be exposed over here

I want the game to go as long as possible, I have absolutely nothing to do otherwise.
I hope they go alright, they have a bit of ticker and I admire their sportsmanship, every player went and shook Heads hand yesterday when he was dismissed.

Re: Trans Tasman Trophy
Here lies the problem with the Kiwi’s. Just can’t maintain an elite standard for an extended period of time with bat or ball. Australia are just pitching it up and consistently making the Kiwi’s play at it. From there they are getting the rewards, none of the continuous short shit which takes away so many avenues of getting out. Right now I reckon only India and Australia can maintain that standard across all facets and they are miles ahead of the rest.

True for today but I’m back at work tomorrow so would be happy if it finished today.
I don’t hate them but the backslapping and cheerleading by the media for them is sickening. They have barely even won a single session this series and the commentary is oh brave NZ are battling hard and will make us earn it. Apart from Wagner the rest have been shown up badly and Vaughan is correct that that the ranking system is a farce

Re: Trans Tasman Trophy
Kiwis are struggling with the pace imo, good against 130k but once it gets over 140 they are in all sorts of trouble
Latham is no good neither is Nicolls yet they are/were top 10 icc bats

Latham and Nicholls are both bog ordinary and their stats are inflated thanks to their opponents over the last year or so.
Latham has 11 test centuries but look who he has them against
Sri Lanka: 4
Zimbabwe: 2
Pakistan: 2
Bangladesh: 2
England: 1
West Indies: 0
Australia: 0
India: 0
South Africa: 0
So 10 of his 11 centuries have come against minnows and only 1 against decent opposition. Says it all really

I called it on here pre-series and got scoffed at, they’ve had it easy for sone time.
They play well at home but have only traveled against minnows
