Very sorry to hear, my heart goes out to the family involved and everyone at SFC.

That's horrendous news.... how does anyone cope after such a loss?

I'm sure plenty of other clubs would have held off and made him wait a week before clearing him but i take my hat off to Smithfield and to their coach for doing the right thing!
Just makes the game more interesting, plus I gave one of my boys the job on garner last Saturday night so I don't won't to disappoint that player, all so there's no need to be spiteful just because Eastern park could come to party to sign him.
Great attitude and one that will show a lot of faith in the playing squad which I'm sure those blokes will repay with their efforts this week

Hope they have a win this week and can provide a small glimmer of happiness in what must be an excruciating time.
The Rams are Bucking Awesome in 2017....Don't hate us because you rate us!!!!

Horrible news, thoughts with the family. No doubt this is a time when the club gets right around its own to help them out anyway they can
Eastern parks football director "willow" dose a great job down there,he has really turned things around for the football club. Yesterdays game was played in great spirit, "very good side the demons" they will be hard to beat from now on.
I have had the privilege of having a fair bit of his cricket wisdom passed onto me over the years
You just know he will leave EP in a much stronger position than they were when he decides to give up the role
Ditto this. Great bloke and operator.
Also, wishing the Edwardstown ressies lad who looked in a bad way with an ankle a speedy recovery on behalf of Salisbury FC. Never a good sign when players from both sides have the hands go up straight away.

Pretty unfortunate for the bloke, pretty bad broken ankle. Was probably having the best quarter a lot of us have seen him play too. I'll make sure he gets passed on the message, cheers
Mixture of a number of things. Most of the B grade players usually play C's. The ruck contest in the B's was David v Goliath but our lad was very competitive considering he had never rucked before
No excuses though North Haven are a bloody good club.

We obviously got CLG at a good time then, I was told during the week they might be missing a large group players across the 3 grades. We had players out too which is a part of footy but our depth has become a strength of ours and we're able to cover those missing players.
3 wins again today, been a great start to the season for us.
