What does "deck the cards" even mean? and it wasn't straight sets...
rosewater had a 30 thousand football budget last year so i guess im saying out of that 30k money was paid to some quality players who in return failed to fire at finals time and no im not saying you used all 30k on players that was the total budget

So what you are saying is that you have no idea how much has been paid to who. I would say that player depth was a major problem last year, as it has been for a number of years.
lutz wrote:Rosewater looking like they will be unstoppable this year. Looking like they have easily improved on the side they had last year that won 15 games in a row already. Darren Grimmond, Alex Losic, Daniel Thomas, and Jake Williams are all way too good for Div 6; three of them quite capable of playing D1 footy if they had the discipline to. Rosewater may have to fork out a bit of cash to get D Thomas though, I suspect he has a few outstanding fees to pay Port District.
There's something wrong if they cannot make it to, if not win the GF this year.
On top of this, Nick Williams should be pretty handy in D6 too (depending on his fitness) can play forward or back. Jase Matte is a quality footballer too. Good defender, and could probably run through the mid if needed too.
I only know 6 of their 15 recruits too, I daresay there'd be a few handy players in the 9 recruits I don't know...

Yes deeman a few years of pain to come. Scooter deserves better but, I'll support him till the good times come back, love the bloke. My old mate half back flanker has been keeping his cards to himself but they look good and I expect them and Rossies to dominate this comp this year. Rossies do have some SERIOUS 'shuffle' happening tho.
rosewater... set to dominate the comp! (pays players)
mitchell park... a few years of pain to come (doesnt pay players)
geeze theres a difference in there somewhere but i cant quite see it. i think 1 team is smiling and the other team is crying but i cant seem to work out why?????
Don't think $$ has much to do with it, whether you pay players or not. A lot of clubs have big player movement. As much as Mitchell Park would have enjoyed the flag couple years back the wheels were always going to fall off pretty quick. When the lads with valley connection were lucky enough to get some class players to the den they were never gonna hang around more than a year or two, that along with few club stalwarts with most there best footy behind them there was going to be some BIG holes to fill.
I think the work that some have been doing with the kids will be what can pull them back out in the next few years if they can keep the good youngsters at the club
Doesnt matter whether its a furfy or not, if people think its the case then they will go with it. Perception is reality. Whats Maw$on Lake$, must be more cos they have two $s in their name, maybe theirs is $40k.

Fitzroy mustv'e been the highest bidder for Rayner.
Hargraves would be close to 40 by now and believe another signing of the Roy's, Broadhurst also played league at North. From memory he was their full foward the year Hargraves did pre-season with Port Adelaide.
Surprised to hear Pearce was leaving, anyone from the Roys shed some light?

Well I heard Jesus was planning on making his second coming and SAAFL debut in round 6 but occasionally you just have to say to people "Please don't speaketh your bull shitski to me"
