The first and only test between South Africa v Zimbabwe is not only a day/night test, but it's also a 4 day match.

South Africa won the toss and batted first and declared at 9/309 with Markram making 125, de Villiers 53 and Bavuma 44. Jarvis and Mpofu taking 3 wickets each.

In reply Zimbabwe are 4/30 off 16 overs, with Morkel taking 3 wickets.

9 of the 13 wickets fell in the final session under lights.

South Africa are taking the piss against Zimbabwe. SA has rolled Zimbabwe for 68 still trailing by 241 with Morkel taking 5/21.

Looks more like being a 2 day Test
Although Zimbabwe are showing some fight in the 2nd innings being 0/44 with the only downside being Masakadza being forced to Retire Hurt for 7 after being struck on the elbow.

all over in about 5 sessions as Zimbabwe are bowled out for 121 in their 2nd innings

the test lasted 907 balls in total, the 2nd quickest (by balls) in the last 50 years.

Should really just be reduced to a First Class game for the stats.

1st class game for purposes of Stats?
Since when have Warm up / Trial games been classified as 1st Class?

Actually it was nothing more than a few glorified practice sessions

Was it Sth Africa v SL that had a test match that was downgraded to a first class match before it started?

Nope, found it:

"Denness was appointed as an ICC match referee in 1996. He caused controversy after the Port Elizabeth Test between South Africa and the visiting Indians in 2001-2 when he sanctioned six Indian players, four including Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh for excessive appealing, Sachin Tendulkar for alleged ball-tampering, and the captain Sourav Ganguly for failing to control his players. At first, India refused to accept the sanctions and named the players for the following Test match. The International Cricket Council responded by stripping the game of Test match status. Soon after, both the BCCI and ICC decided to establish a referee committee to verify Denness's conclusions. The match referee was heavily criticised for failing to explain his actions at a press conference, thus infuriating the Indian cricket establishment.[10] The BCCI later decided to forget the incident on humanitarian grounds, after Denness underwent heart surgery.[11]"

Love watching test matches in SA the pitches offer plenty early and are good to bat on if you get in. By far the best pitches in the world atm. Kumar is moving the ball considerably here but terrible shot by the hash.

How good does SA pace attack look tho, cant wait till they play the aussies both have wonderful bowling line ups.
