Saw it here in Perth. **** like this are the reason why its so hard to organise footy trips and ruin it for the rest of the footballing community.
You always get up to mischief on these trips but that's just stupid.

What the biggest joke about it all is that the club will probably support the players !!as one of them is a mail medal winner and his brothers all play there and can Play aswell! The club said they have sanctioned the players involved ! What a load of crap !!! Butler is a premiership coach and should have some balls and suspend or sack the players involved!!! What parent would want there kids coming through a football system and have them ending up socialising with these try hard criminals! If I were a parent I would be pulling them out now ! I reckon ballarats footy team should have a footy trip at there house next year and treat there property the same way!! Sanctioned bdt your club is now a joke in football circles! All your hardwork gone because you can't control or discipline your players properly!!!

I don't think that's fair to call BDT as a club a joke, there are a lot of people involved to make a club run, and I don't believe anyone on here knows the correct facts into what sanctions etc have been given, totally unfair to label the whole club a joke this point in time.

Yeah agreed hopper. Bit unfair to go the club when we haven't heard what penalties have been handed out if any have as yet. I would imagine the comment of the club has sanctioned the players was just fancy talk by the journos. I would imagine there would be some that are kicked out for good for sure. Also its disappointing that a lot of people tend to bag the club when there are a lot good people that help run that club that have nothing to do with this. Once again a couple ruin it for everyone.

Having said that its an incredibly dissapointing situation and persnally knowing a few of the guys something i never would have imagined happening. Im sure the club will penalise the players accordingly

You don't have to condone someone's actions in order to support them. I would say that all involved once the booze wore off felt pretty terrible about what they had done.
Maybe the club should support them and assist with some programs on alcohol consumption.
I think reimbursing for the damage is going to be a large enough penalty.

Grasshopper and Ryder I know you wanted to merge with borders but you don't have to stick up for them all the time! They were representing there club weather they like it or not imagine you went to ballarat representing your employer and carried on like that ! Sacked immediately !! Imagine an afl player carried on like that the uproar. . While the club is not seen to be taking a tuff stance they are condoning there behaviour ! If someone can tell me they have been given there marching orders I will happily retract my statements !!!'

Apparently decision handed down early in the week by BDT with one banned for one year and the other for two years. Also includes suspensions if they go elsewhere.

Dog watcher thank you for the information I'm surprised it hadn't been put on here earlier and if what you say is true I do retract my comments on the footy club ! Those penalties seem reasonable ! Not sure if I would want blokes like that back at the club though and prob would of handed out bit stiffer penalty but at least some penalty has been handed out !

Not allowed to drink at the club every again I've also heard on top of the other sanctions posted.

I think the BDT coach had a number of concerns prior to all this and not surprised at the outcome as he took it all quite personally. Reckons there won't be any more outs apart from the obvious and a couple of retirees.
