Did 4 chins Maguire spend all his credits anointing Buckley?

Baby and bath water perhaps?

Bucks will see out his contract at least

Ok then I will ask the question another way. When Bucks sees out his contract does Eddie go then?
Is Eddie sureing up support for Buckley in the boardroom so he sees out his contract?

I continually hear his lament of skill errors and mistakes but he's been saying that for 2 years and it hasn't improved.

The most troubling aspect of our performances is that the losses have mostly been 10-goal plus thrashings.

He inherited a shit list and they still haven't recovered from the Fevola mistake.

They have showed glimpses of brilliance over the past couple of years but as you pointed out, they can roll over and play dead very easily.

They severely lack depth and need their best 22 available to be competitive, there's enough to like out there, they need to look outside their own 4 walls now for their next phase, they need Paul Roos at the helm.

In the NEAFL the Swans sit a top with 7 wins from 7 games, 273%! The Giants, 4-3 with 119%, the Bears 0-7 44%.

1-7 now, gave the Suns reserves a pasting on the weekend.

Suns reserves only had 3 listed players available & those 3 were rookies

They're called the Lions, but they'll always be the Bears, won't they? :D

What chance Leppa's last week, they move him on during their bye and start "fresh" for the Q clash in round 16?

Reckon he should have another year. Brisbane still paying the price for the mess Voss left but very few clubs manage to withstand the pressure of the media asking over and over, which is all this "pressure" really is.

Voss didn't leave a mess. A couple of sooks didn't want to play.
Brisbane sacked him instantly because they thought they were going to get Paul Roos and then didn't.
Brisbane left the mess Leppitch is in, because it was a panicked decision to appoint him. Then the Sooks left anyway.

Leppa has had plenty of time to turn things around. He hasn't done that or even managed to elicit some competitiveness. You can handle the odd close loss but we're getting thrashed nearly every week. The players aren't motivated to dig deep and they won't until a new coach is installed.

In my opinion we need a coach who has never had any involvement with Fitzroy, Brisbane Bears or Brisbane Lions. Turning to favourite sons rarely works in the coaching realm.

No cattle. Lethal himself couldn't get this mob up.

It might, if you go outside the club first and get some experience elsewhere, I think, but yes there is a long list of favorite sons who have gone into coaching their old club with little success.

I agree with REB though, no cattle. Midfield has depth but they have nobody to kick to up front.

I also agree with your comments, and much like Port in 2012 there was no competitiveness in the group.

I think Port stuffed up with Ryder not having a third ruckman if Lobe got injured . They delisted a ruckman then went cap in hand and said they would rookie list him at least he said no .
One issue from the outside players and player management the other one is game plan if it doesnt work they keep doing it doesnt that show up to port fans or have they drunk the cool aid
geez fix it move on or sack players and coach and start again cause you int got much in the SANFL from what ive seen players throwing punches and kicking players in packs no clue their either

Ryder, Lobbe, Howard, Frampton. We have 2 experienced ruckman and two young ruckmen on our list, how many do you want us to carry?
