About 20 minutes into the second quarter, congested play. Doggies are having trouble getting players loose.
This is the largest lead the Eagles have ever had against the Dogs in a Grand Final. Before today they have never won a quarter against the Dogs.
COME ON EAGLES!!!
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Cooper passes to Symmons who misses again for the Eagles. His kicking for goal has been disgraceful.

Eagles standing up to be counting, Fairclough thwarts a Dogs chance to find space, rebounds quickly, Cooper passes to Symonds 30 meters out, directly in front and Symonds muffs it! Another point.

Centrals kicking with the breeze have scored only one goal so far this quarter.
Dogs had a chance and hit the behind post, out of bounds on the full.

Great half ot footy by the Eagles. Pity they can't kick for goal (with special mention to Dale Symmons), or they'd be 40 plus points in front at this stage. Still, great effort and it sets up an interesting second half.

Hello, Adelaide Hawk has put up the half time scores and I am still listening to the 2nd quarter. Either I am on a delayed broadcast, or he is psychic.

Agree with those sentiments by AH. Last play before the siren was a soccered goal attempt by the Eagles, for another point.
Great that they could hold the Dogs so well when they had the breeze, but the Eagles must have had a few chances to really stamp their authority on the game, but let it all go away.
In Grand Finals, wasted energy is often a reason for failure. Eagles may be looking okay now, but this is when they should be building a lead. Don't let it slip Eagles.

sounded like a good battle of defences in the 2nd quarter
