The Dark Knight wrote:Cheers Burra, was a good hitout. You guys looked really good, your ruckman killed big Matty and your midfield group was very good, very tough to run with. You guys were very clean and had great run of half back. I thought we matched it with you blokes at time and as you said moved the ball pretty well, did some good things but being a division a higher you just had that polish and were better for longer at the contest. Ground was in pretty good nick, nice size too. A couple of blokes I remember from when we played GG in 2009, Dasher Ravlich played well and will be a big key for you blokes at CHF this season and little Tommy Oliver is very slick, moves well and will be very damaging if left alone. You guys are my pick for the D4 flag, good luck for this season.
The thing that excites me is the idea that when we put Shane scudds and peucker back into that fwd line, dash will end up with the 4th best defender every week.
Blonde head, no3 in the guts was your best on the weekend I thought. Good gut runner.
Wow, sounds like Dane will be playing B's
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit
Im very reluctant to base anything on trial game form, Havens team on Saturday was pretty close to round 1 team with about 5 missing and it is fair to say a full strength Golden Grove would beat us by 20 goals. As for the other teams there are so many variables in trials that you can't take any notice of scores.
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet *I apologise to Hope Valley people in advance, no offence intended

Great minds Boosh - I was just sharing that exact sentiment with Bradman

Havens B grade were also missing a handy backman that may or may not have made the difference in the trial.

That's not ringing any bells HH3, I do know they had a very talented wingman that is returning from knee surgery who in my very unbiased opinion was their stand out player on Saturday.......

Mawson Lakes also beat Trinity yesterday by about 6 or 7 goals I was told
Had a fair few out too so I'm lead to believe.........
Yep I wouldn't be reading too much into this game both sides were missing a considerable amount of players. Thanks to TOSSER and Trinity OS yesterday for the hit out and their cooperation once again in moving the games to our Oval it was greatly appreciated. I wish them you all the best for Season 2013 and hope they can really surprise Div 5 this season.
HH3 WHAT CAN I SAY !!!!! If you had concentrated on playing football instead of umpiring during the year you probably would have been playing in the grand final. Some of the comments that i heard from the boundary line , i think you should be counting your blessings that you had a very wise and understanding umpire . I know you learnt all of your bad habbits from your mate Toddy , he also learned the hard way . Just a word of advice , mouth shut and eyes on the ball.

Cheers Riddler. We got a lot of positives from the 2 games. We were in front up until half way through the 3rd but having 11 players who had to play a fair bit of both games contributed to running out of legs. Unfortunately we had approximately 25 players unavailable due to cricket grand finals, work and injury. I know ML rested or had a number of their better players not playing too. ML did move it really well out of the centre in the 2nd half also. Can never tell too much from the scores in a trial. Just a good chance to look at some blokes, work on your structures and get some match play under your belt. I think Mawson Lakes will be right up there come the pointy end of the season. A lot of depth! All the best.

Went well I cant speak for the Cats though I think Rosies ran away with it in the last.

the Cats were infront for 3 quarter's , rested player's in the last quarter to give b graders a run , Rosies will certinaly be around the mark in Div6 , what i was most impressed with was there on baller's they certinaly work well together , (the timekeeper must of had a few beers during the games as each quarter went for about 30min ( i think it was the great man himself Mr Beefy)
thankyou Rosies for the cold beers after the game ( all the best for 2013)
